SO YOU THINK YOU KNOW EVERYTHING?

Happy Friday.
Love,
Chatty
PS Thought I'd share what happened to me last night. I have become friends with the owner of this little Mediterranean Restaurant. Come to find out I taught her daughter, who is now 30 (!), when she was in the fifth grade (11). Anyway I eat a very healthy lunch there quite often. She has showed and taught me a lot of Lebanese food and culture. She is the sweetest lady, she lost her husband 15 years ago. She even has read my fortune in the bottom of my Turkish coffee cup.
Her daughter is pregnant and they had a baby shower for her last night. She had it at the restaurant after it closed around 8. I had so much fun I can't tell you.
We all laughed, drank, ate dinner, opened gifts, had cake, but the most fun was in the Arabic dancing. It was so much fun and I didn't have a clue to what I was doing! There were some men, but it was mostly women. They brought their children and even their kids knew how to dance!
It seems to me the foreign culture is so much more family orientated and free then we Americans. Now don't get me wrong, I am a proud American. I love America. But we seem so shy and reserved. Last night was so freeing. I really had a good time. letting go, and just being myself.
Don't you wish sometimes we could just be free and happy to be ourselves?

Your new friendship sounds amazing. It's wonderful how meeting someone new can open doors like that! I met someone who grew up in India and the things I have experienced with her and the new people I've met -- fantastic!
