"Life is lived forward, but understood backward. It is not until we are down the road and we stand on the mountain looking back through the valley that we can appreciate the terrain God has allowed us to scale.” Jill Savage

Examine and investigate and question all you can.
BUT when it comes to actually doing, leave your skepticism behind!

To get something done, you need faith.
You cannot live a life based on doubts.

I think that is for everything we do. The really big things and the really little things.

It's kind of like Yoda said, "Do or do not, there is no try."

or

'Until One Is Committed' ~

Until one is committed
There is hesitancy,
the chance to draw back,
Always ineffectiveness.

Concerning all acts of initiative (and creation),
There is one elementary truth,
The ignorance of which kills countless ideas
And splendid plans:
That the moment one definitely commits oneself,
Then Providence moves too.

All sorts of things occur to help one
That would never otherwise have occurred.
A whole stream of events
issues from the decision
Raising in one's favor all manner
Of unforeseen incidents and meetings
And material assistance,
Which no man could have dreamt
Would have come his way.

I have learned a deep respect for one of Goethe's couplets:
Whatever you can do, or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it. Did he know the Secret?

Thoughts for a life . . . I think what you really want out of life or believe in, you WILL commit to. What is least important to you . . . you will LET GO of and of course it works the other way as well - sometimes what you have committed to, you must commit to let go of, even if it hurts and it's important to you. If you don't you won't grow. Growth is sometimes painful I admit, but staying where you are - is more painful and much less satisfying.

Do you 'get' that?

Chatty
