"Life is lived forward, but understood backward. It is not until we are down the road and we stand on the mountain looking back through the valley that we can appreciate the terrain God has allowed us to scale.” Jill Savage

Two Feathers made a comment on Blog yesterday. She asked me this question:

What is knowing you can't and deciding you will?

I think that we are kindred spirits in that one question. Only a deep level thinker could ask that.

My answer is: A risk taker, willing to go through pain to get to the truth. It's love of others at time more than self. Growing up. A real warrior.

Hope I got the same ideas she had! :)

Georgio Morandi, who is regarded as one of the great realist painters of the 20th century, said this,

"One can travel this world and see nothing.

To achieve understanding it is necessary not to see many things, but to look hard at what you
do see."

My personal thought is that some people live with your eyes wide open, yet they are totally blind to the world and people around them.

Yet some people can be literally blind yet they see - feel - know -exist.

Think of Andres Bocelli. I think he is a blind mad who feels and sees the very depth and breath of life.

I want to feel, see, taste, hear, and smell the very depth and breath of life.

In all honesty I can't always do that, but I do give it a heck of a try. It's been frustrating for me at times I admit. I am slowly coming to the realization that maybe you can't 'sense' everything in life you want. It's hard to accept that for me. And that maybe you have to de-sense some things you sense as well. It's like the things I want to feel don't exist and the things I do feel 'at times' I don't want too.

Can you tell I'm a Pisces - two fish swimming in opposite directions at the same time?

Love,
Chatty

Awesome answer... warriors... yes!

Did you ever see that movie, the 13th Warrior? It has Antonio Banderas and I don't know who else. The movie is really kind of bloody and dark, but what really stuck with me.. what really resonated was the idea of knowing that you will fail... and then doing your best anyway.

I love that movie, whenever I get into a "funk" and start thinking that life is futile, I watch it again. Next thing you know I'm standing my ground and saying "hey, it's a good day to die... bring it on."

I love that Andres Bocelli quote... I too want to feel, see, taste, hear, and smell the very depth and breath of life... the only thing is that I don't want to get out of my comfort zone too far when I do it... LOL...

Great blog...
I'm going to add your link to my Question of the Day blog... if that's ok with you?

To visit it, here's the link: http://theprosperityquestion.blogspot.com - we ask all kinds of interesting questions there, and I think you'd fit right in.

Blessings.
