"Life is lived forward, but understood backward. It is not until we are down the road and we stand on the mountain looking back through the valley that we can appreciate the terrain God has allowed us to scale.” Jill Savage

Don't have my regular meditation picture on this computer, but I do have a lovely picture of Italy. (My minds special retreat.)
Today we are going to go to Rock City and visit some caves. Then on home.
Today's meditation -
Charlie Parker, a jazz musician, wrote:
"Music is your own experience, your thoughts, your wisdom. If you don't live it, it won't come
out your horn."

Close your eyes.

Take a deep breath.

Hold for a few seconds.

Exhale slowly.

Repeat until you've slowed down enough to feel a shift.

Become aware of each pause between inhalation and exhalation of breath.

Listen. Hear the silence in that pause. Feel the silence.

That is your music.
Make your own kind of music . . . sing your own special song . . . (Mammas and pappas ?)
Love,
Chatty
