Full Circle - Chapter 1 - Part 6 (The story started on Monday June 16th and will continue every Monday this summer.) The story of Annie and Jessie continues . . .

So, believe it or not, she was thankful for everything, including the pain. Thankful for the life she had lived with all its dark despair at having lost her true love and her son forever. Thankful, because it mobilized her to carve out this new life that turned out to be better than she had fantasized or thought possible. And for all these blessings, it was unmistakably apparent that Annie was a grateful woman. Yes, the surgical procedure itself, and the healing that it would require, would pale in comparison to the pain of her once-overwhelming mental scars.

Then of course there’s my Jesse, she continued writing, His unfailing and steadfast love helped her forget. Their love had lasted through years, and it had been put to the ultimate test. But their bond remained strong, and it had overcome challenges most people could never have endured.

And then of course, there was the miracle. The miracle of all miracles, she scribbled. Funny, she thought as she wrote, as soon as I accepted my past and all its loss, then I received a miracle.
