Helen Keller

"Pain is a part of being alive, and we need to learn that. Pain does not last forever, nor is it necessarily unbeatable, and we need to be taught that."– Harold Kushner

Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is a daring adventure or nothing at all.-Helen Keller

I write this to myself today. On Friday I'm having surgery. It's not really that big of a deal - but it's still a surgery I have chosen to do at this time - (it's not a life saving procedure) - I've chosen to do it now instead of later. Hernias and such . . .

I want the security that I'll be okay and that I made the right decision.

That security doesn't exist. I am responsible for the choice of having the surgery now.

I could cancel the surgery and get hit by a car - right?

So I am going to take a daring adventure on Friday.

Love,
Chatty
(I'll be writing - you can't get rid of me that easily-lol)

Watch the video below - Christmas with a Capital C - it'll warm your heart.

Thank you guys, I truly appreciate your thoughts. I have white coat syndrome (even though my son has one - Lol).

I should just be overnight - and you know how I love to Chat...

Wish we could all meet some day - have a 'Bloggers Over 50' convention with JeanMac and some others too.
