Alan Jackson - Sissy's song Lyrics

This song is good although bittersweet. I thought it was a good way to wrap up this week's ideas. Why bad things happen to good people, suffering, attitudes, illness, and of course - as always - another good reason to live life as much as you can - right now.

I had just read or heard on the radio that story behind this song!
She was a young gal who worked for them, killed in a car crash going to or from work I believe. Alan wrote the song in her memory, as her death really touched him, and their family.

Yes and I was thinking about the young mom who lost her life at 30 to breast cancer.

This song is so beautiful and so sad. I feel comfort though thinking about the little 12 year girl, my son's best friend, that lost her battle with brain cancer sending all of a us a message telling us not to worry about her. It's almost like she is talking to all of us. Thank you Alan for writting such a touching song.

I am a 37 year old mother of 8 and this song truly touched me because I am a daughter, wife, and mother who is going to die young. I am diabetic and in kidney failure as well as other complications. My heart goes out to everyone who knew and loved her.
