"Life is lived forward, but understood backward. It is not until we are down the road and we stand on the mountain looking back through the valley that we can appreciate the terrain God has allowed us to scale.” Jill Savage

Let's talk about the word love this week . . .love is celebrations

So what the heck is love anyway?

Love is Celebrations . . .

This is from leialoha@dailycelebrations.com

"One does not fall "in" or "out" of love. One grows in love." ~ Leo Buscaglia

A passionate man who celebrated the positive power of love, writer Leo Buscaglia (1924-1998) was born Leonardo Felice Buscaglia on this day in Los Angeles, California.

Buscaglia spent the first six years of his life in his family's hometown of Aosta, a village near the Italian Alps. He returned to L.A. and decided to become a teacher.

He once said: "Never idealize others. They will never live up to your expectations. Don't over analyze your relationships. Stop playing games. A growing relationship can one be nurtured by genuineness."

The restless educator spent years seeking life's truths, traveling to Asia where he discovered that all religions "agree on the same principles for humanity...There is no religion that disagrees on the basic tenet being love."

"You can be a follower of Muhammad or Jesus or Buddha or whomever. Always they said that the most essential factor is to love your neighbor. And to love you."

Called "Dr Love" and the "hug therapist," Buscaglia spread his message of love and positive personal growth to American classrooms, in books, on television, and as an international lecturer.
"Only when we give joyfully, without hesitation or thought of gain, can we truly know what love means," he said.

~~Grow...Expand...Love!

Again this was taken from leialoha@dailycelebrations.com - check them out.

I thought this would be a good way to start taking about the word love. I remember watching him on Public Broadcasting. He seemed to me to be a sweetie. Personally I have trouble with the word love. I know the opposite of love to me is not hate, it is INDIFFERENCE!
Well, it's spring break week here with everyone "I love' home so I thought I's share some songs and pictures this week about my views of love. The wedding is in 7 weeks so love is upmost on my mind. Ahhhhhhhhh youth . . .
LOVE,
Chatty

A very thoughtful putting together of thoughts and words this morning. some of us have lived through what love is NOT, and sometimes struggle to continue on with issues that need repair. Perhaps you can shed some light on that aspect of personal growth if you ever happen upon more things you deem worthy of sharing! Enjoy your snippettes of happiness! Thanks for spreading some joy!

I really got into Leo, Dr. Love, I remember they called him during the '80s..the decade of my divorce and hardest times. I still have several of his books, and think about him time and again. Funny that you brought him up...but then, it's not really surprising, is it?
