"Life is lived forward, but understood backward. It is not until we are down the road and we stand on the mountain looking back through the valley that we can appreciate the terrain God has allowed us to scale.” Jill Savage

What is mental malpractice?

Negative thinking is mental malpractice. Robert Anthony

In my house I have put together a collection of small and large toys I can’t live without. The child who doesn’t play is not a child, but the man who doesn’t play has lost forever the child who lived...
- Pablo Neruda
(And I do have this 'place' in my house!)

“Kind hearts are the gardens, Kind thoughts are the roots, Kind words are the flowers, Kind deeds are the fruits, Take care of your garden And keep out the weeds, Fill it with sunshine, Kind words, and Kind deeds.”
—Henry Wadsworth Longfellow quotes (1807-1882); poet

I get a little teasing at times for having a positive blog theme. I know they're kidding (I hope), but like I've said all along - I'm doing this blog mostly for myself. It's my positive journey if you will.

There is so much negativity in the world. Just turn on the news or read the paper. Listen to some of the people around you. It's down right painful to be around toxicity all the time. It seems I have been around it most my life and it made me numb as I would retreat like a turtle in it's own shell to protect itself.

I woke up one day and decided I can either join the negativity, continue to hide in my shell, or to make my own world positive - by that I mean happier. Toxic people can be dangerous to your health. It doesn't make you feel good. Laughter, friends, positive thoughts - they make life good. No, not all the time - life happens - but I have to pick myself up by the bootstraps - when I'm ready to recover and move on - with or without some people.

Now if you think my life has been a piece of cake and this is easy for me - email me for my story. I'm just ready to live now - to fly - to learn and do new things - I'm ready to live.

So even if I blogged the same thing every day - if it were positive - I'd read it. I'm trying to 'self whisper' to myself and teach my soul to be happy - naturally. Right now I'm still having to remind myself once in awhile, but eventually my essence, my soul, will just be happy.

Not sure when, but that's MY goal - my dream.

Do or do not - there is no try. ~Yoda.

Love y'all,

Chatty

Your right Old Dame Penniwig - I had forgotten that fact somehow for awhile and now I'm back more focused.

It's always better to do your own thinking and not worry so much about what others think of you.

And you know I think there is icing in my future. . .

Thank you ClassyChassy too.

LIke you, the turtle shell was always a great hiding place for me as well. At least, girlfriend, you are brave enough, now, to shake it off and make YOUR world, right for you. You've become more gutsy, and have begun to dive right into life.
You're so smart to do it before your time runs out...you won't have any regrets...and the future is totally of your making.

Well, CorgiDogMama - hang on to your buttons - I haven't exactly made the world 'right' for myself -I'm just trying to make it more livable - better. Just like you are.
