"Life is lived forward, but understood backward. It is not until we are down the road and we stand on the mountain looking back through the valley that we can appreciate the terrain God has allowed us to scale.” Jill Savage

Something to think about Saturdays.

See, this dog - he's just sitting there and relaxing and letting the world go by. Nothing is going to bother him today . . . he's cute isn't he?

"The first sight of maturity is the discovery that the volume knob also turns to the left. " (- Chicago Tribune) That means turn the volume off! Turn your engines off! Be still. Be quiet. Listen - like the movie August Rush talked about - that there is music all around us if we only listen for it.

As you know I've been thinking a lot about Alaska (lol). I don't know if it's really Alaska that I fell in love with - if it was that I allowed myself to be my real self out there - if it was the idea of having some freedom and peace - if it was the pioneering spirit I saw out there - or if it was just the people I met along the way. Something moved me - guess it was all of the above.

A friend wrote me - "Sometimes a person finds the place they need to be, and they move there. It's a physical place, sometimes, and others times, it's a mental place. Life passes quickly -- it's a quick trip through -- no returns -- too short to mess around in a place just existing, or existing for others, while there's a place where the person can be WHOLE instead of have a HOLE in their heart!!! [Now to take my own advice...!!!] " ~ ODP.

I wish for everyone today that they are in the place they need to be. So that you can be whole instead of having a hole in your heart.

Keep breathing :)

ODP has lived an interesting life which has made her into an old wise sage....and she's worth listening to! That girl knows what she's talking about! I value anything that comes out of her brain!
Today...we're like the little dog on its back. Taking life easy.
