My gift for you this Sunday is Joy

Joy
There are many kinds of barriers: Those from within and those from without. Barriers between people. Barriers that prevent you from doing good things. Barriers of your own mind and your own hesitations. There are the barriers that exist simply because you are a limited being.
Joy breaks through all barriers.

Joy breaks through all barriers.

Man this is awesome - hope you enjoy it!

A thought for the day -
"In Michelangelo's painting on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel, the finger of God approaches—but does not touch—the finger of Adam... We never fully achieve what we set out to do… needing more time … stretching and always just approximating our goal." ~ Barrie Sanford Greiff

Happy Birthday to Matthew Broderick - wiki

Broderick met actress Jennifer Grey on the set of Ferris Bueller's Day Off and in 1986 was briefly engaged to her. Broderick met actress Sarah Jessica Parker through her brother. The couple married on May 19, 1997 in a civil ceremony in an historic deconsecrated synagogue on the Lower East Side; and although Broderick considers himself culturally Jewish, the ceremony was performed by his sister, Janet Broderick Kraft, an Episcopal priest. Parker and Broderick have a son, James Wilke Broderick, born on October 28, 2002. On April 28, 2009, it was confirmed that Broderick and Parker were expecting twin girls through surrogacy. Broderick and Parker's surrogate delivered their twin daughters, Marion Loretta Elwell and Tabitha Hodge, on June 22, 2009. Marion Loretta Elwell weighed 5 pounds, 11 ounces, while Tabitha Hodge was 6 pounds.

Although they live in New York City, they spend a considerable amount of time at their holiday home in County Donegal, Ireland, where Broderick spent his summers as a child. He is left-handed, a fact made evident in his first movie, Max Dugan Returns, in which he plays baseball. Broderick is an avid baseball fan. His favorite team is the New York Mets. He narrated the DVD "Shea Goodbye: 45 Years of Amazin", which chronicled the life of Shea Stadium. Broderick is good friends with his The Producers co-star, Nathan Lane. Fellow '80s teen actor Jon Cryer is often said to look like Broderick; their striking resemblance has been portrayed in two episodes of Cryer's TV show, Two and a Half Men. They also have a house in The Hamptons. Sarah and their son James are also left-handed.

Hi Sandie! You know, I remember Kate Smith singing that when I was a kid. She did a great job. Thanks for the memories. So many things bring me joy that it's not funny but one of the things, at the top of the list, is living in this magnificent country, FREE, and blessed to the max. Sincerely, Susan

ummm, what brings me joy?? Knowing my name is written in the Book of Life :) I remember a few years ago during a rough time waking up in the middle of the night, we had been studying joy that week at Bible Study - Beth Moore's Fruit of the Spirit - and I remember being filled with joy on that very fact that my name is there and it won't be erased; it really helped me during that rough time

and perfect definition of joy

Jesus
Others
Yourself

putting Jesus and others before myself :)

I always have liked Matthew Broderick and Sarah Jessica Parker. I believe she is so very pretty but her last movie (Whatever Happened to the Morgans), I thought she was a bit too thin, liked her with a fuller face. Hoping their marriage stands the test of time

Hi Sweetie...
Love the post. Really great singing.

Love the info on Matthew and Sarah. I knew they had twins but had never heard their names. Aren't those just beautiful? I love Sarah Jessica Parker's cologne called "Lovely". It is all that I wear. If you haven't smelled it, then you must try it. It is so heavenly.

Hope you had a beautiful Sunday. Mine was really nice. I rested. I wore myself out yesterday in the yard, and today I could hardly move my legs and feet from my neuropathy. Last night I hardly slept a wink. A really rough one.

Today I rested mind and body. I only bought groceries for a few days. I wanted in and out of there.

Have a great week sweet friend. Country hugs and so much love, Sherry

What brought ME joy today was watching our silly corgi pups romping through the weeds that have taken over our front yard. They are about twice as tall as the pups and those little sillies were playing Hide & Seek and tag. They were hopping like rabbits to get through the weeds and frapping in circles, taking time to stop only for a few seconds when they would run into each other and flip someone, then off again! I laughed and laughed!

Joy was also blooming as I looked at the buds and flowers starting to bloom and open all around here reminding me that God brings bursts of Joy even in the midst of gloom if we keep our eyes on Him and the blessings He's given/giving us! Linda
