Pink Saturday -Including a puzzle and a birthday. . .

Today is Pink Saturday over at Beverly's - How Sweet The Sounds Blog.

Today is some one's birthday - the person I'm sort of show casing - for the Pinkies. We're supposed to talk about another person's blog on the Pink List.

I'm sure most of you know her. She's loved by all. She has a great blog that I'm sure most of you follow her. She comments to everyone.

These are her pictures - (hope it was okay my stealing them). So happy birthday friend.

Can y'all guess who it is?

Okay - she just went to a tea house with her God Child and friend.

This is her name - Sheila.

Yummies
at the Tea House.

She had a visitor here from England.

She took her everywhere with her.

It's her birthday today.

Flowers to you Sheila.

And yes - girls LOVE chocolate.

Have a happy birthday.

Happy Birthday

Sheila The Quintessential Magpie!!!!!!!!!!!!
And I found out it is Spencer's birthday today too, over at Bellemere Cottage.

Happy Birthday to John Newton -

"The love I bear Christ is but a faint and feeble spark, but it is an emanation from himself: He kindled it and he keeps it alive; and because it is his work, I trust many waters shall not quench it." - John Newton

Anyone hear of John Newton? He was the Angry Sailor. Lived years ago. I read that book to my children when they were little.

He was a little boy when his mother died. His father raised him and forced him to work on a ship and be head of a slave trip. He was later captured and forced to work for the Navy.

He was a bad man. He hated himself. One day the ship he was on was in a horrible storm and was sinking he thought he was dying and when he didn't his conversion started.

Once he was saved - his whole life changed. He wrote a song. "Amazing Grace."

Cool huh?

It's also Amelia Earhart's birthday too.

Yes, Sheila is a dear one, isn't she? Would you believe that through her blog, I re-connected with a gal that used to be a VERY dear friend and a prayer partner. We had lost touch after our family moved away, but I discovered her again through Sheila's blog.

Oh, and John Newton...amazing man!! Did you see the movie "Amazing Grace?" One of my favorite lines in the movie is from the mouth of John Newton. "I know that I am a great sinner...and Jesus Christ is a great savior." (A hearty AMEN to that!!)

Blessings to you this pink Saturday,
Patti (Fill My Cup with Beauty)

Happy Belated Pink Saturday, Sandie.

This day was my mother's birthday, too. She and Sheila make it a very special day of the year.

I love your "chocolate" plates. They are so fun.

Amazing Grace is my favorite song of all. I bet you could have guessed that by the name of my blog.
