Stand By Me Playing For Change Song Around The World from Concord Music Group on Vimeo.

A Moment of Clarity
"How can you wake up tomorrow and live the life you want, while also connecting with the world around you? Most of us don’t really want the simplest possible life. We want a life that is free from clutter, yes—but we need to connect our lives with a greater purpose. We don’t need to own things we don’t use, but we should spend freely on meaningful experiences. We should invest in ourselves and invest in others. Take a hard look at the life before you. Are you staring out over the bridge? Take a step back. Decide for yourself what’s best. chrisguillebeau.com

Thank you Susan for sending that to me. We all want a connection - I think it's one of the most important things we want and need.

Love, sandie

What a wonderful quote for today.. I find that I need less and less at my age and now I gladly discard and give more to family... my years grow shorter and I want less to worry about.

That video was awesome! Even though I've seen it before, it still gave me goosebumps and brought tears to my eyes - a perfect example of the strenght of the human spirit!

Obviously, my "message" for the week is reaching out to others. I love this post and the video, and it's one of THREE totally different posts with the same message to me that I've read since Monday. And then, right after I clicked here the first time, I got a call about a needy mission.

Ok...

Oh thank you for the reminder. I am trying so hard to pass on stuff that I don't need around here. It makes me feel bad to have more than I need. Love you, Mollye

Great words of wisdom. Thanks for sharing and I hope that you have having a great time on your vacation. I've missed everyone so very much!!!

The court papers came through from Auntie's estate and we (Robert and I) have had to take the hours drive over almost everyday the past few weeks to the house to move everything out and clean everything up so that it can be sold. We've been working until 7 p.m. and then taking the long drive home. I've had to get up a BUNCH earlier than I've gotten used to and going to bed earlier too, so very little time to blog or visit my friend's blogs. I really need to write an explanation on a short post to let people know I guess.

All that AND take care of poor Mercy's nose. That and giving the other dogs meds, takes an hour or so in the morning and another at night. We NEEDED that anniversary trip! Linda
