Fun Thursday with a little help from my friends . . .

“There is only one way to happiness and that is to cease worrying about things which are beyond the power of our will.”
—Epictetus

"A Lion will not betray his wife...
but a Tiger Wood."
(From Jerry)

(Don't groan at me; I got it from someone else and just passed it on!)

We've all received e-mails about our birth year before... This one is different... Click the link below to see... I think you'll be pleasantly surprised...

What happened in my birth year

This is VERY FAST , so be prepared. You only have 8 seconds for each question.Click on the Smart or stoopid and have fun.

EVER WONDER ...

Why the sun lightens our hair, but darkens our skin?
Why women can't put on mascara with their mouth closed?
Why is 'abbreviated' such a long word?
Why is it that doctors call what they do 'practice'?
Why is lemon juice made with artificial flavor, and dish washing liquid made with real lemons?
Why is the man who invests all your money called a broker?
Why is the time of day with the slowest traffic called rush hour?
Why isn't there mouse-flavored cat food?
Why didn't Noah swat those two mosquitoes?
Why do they sterilize the needle for lethal injections?
You know that indestructible black box that is used on airplanes? Why don't they make the whole plane out of that stuff?!
Why don't sheep shrink when it rains?
Why are they called apartments when they are all stuck together?

Sandie you certainly have provided a mountain of entertainment in this post. Loved the old guy's marriage song. Too close for comfort in our house. LOL

That was fun to see what was going on in my birth year. I hope each day you get a little better. No Pain No Gain isn't that what they say? Sorry it just popped into my head. Hugs to you.

Hang in there with PT. It will be the hardest thing you have ever had to do, but it is worth it. You are the best!

Now I know what you do with your free time (such as it is) - where do you find that stuff?

I like the apart-ments question. I have often dissected words and laughed at them wondering how they became those words.

I was going to call, but I read you have an 11 am appointment, so I'll wait - maybe tomorrow...hope your "angel" nurse will be sweeter today LOL

I absolutely refuse to tell you the level of my stoopidity on the grounds that it would incriminate me!! Hey, I may be too stoopid to spell incriminate correctly! But back to the therapy, she PUSHED on your knee??? I would have asked her if that's protocol!! What did she say when you told her she had changed??

Good Morning Sandie Sweetie....
Oh my gosh you are SO durn cute. I have to tell you, I can just see you with the PT. She sure turned on you quick didn't she? I hope she was back to herself when you saw her today. I know they have to push but really.

I love the Side by Side video. Oh dear hubbie and I both laughed until we cried. I'd say that guy is going to make a bundle on that one. Isn't it sad how when we get older, we have more to take off? Not like the younger years at all. Thank you for sharing this one. It really made my day.

Have a Happy New Year sweet one. I know it hurts but keep on peddaling your bike and doing your PT, just grit your teeth and go right on through it. You will be better in the long run for it. No Pain No Gain for sure.

Love ya sweetie, Sherry

You bring me so much fun...

Did the Smart/Stoopid quiz - I scored above Stoopid - I'm so happee...

I groaned at the Tiger Wood pun - very clever.

As far as the PT is concerned, who said "Embrace the pain." The Marquis de Sade??? Some sadistic person who then said, "Here, let me slug you in the jaw. It'll be good for you?!"

Keep your chin up - or maybe not. Your trainer just MIGHT slug you in the jaw...

xoxo

Oh that first picture gross. yeah, I am thinking what the pigeons are thinking as well. Hee hee. Appreciate these comics and videos Sandie. Hoping you are doing already. Happy New Year.

Oh Sandie! I hope she treated you better today! Do you need me to come down there to beat her up? Or you can once you get stronger. You can just kick her with your new knee!

Hugs,
Angela

Did you offer to give your friend some pain to embrace? Being the extraordinarily giving person that I truly am, I would have probably gave her some without even offering, but I realize that not everyone is as wonderful as I am. Keep trying. You'll get there.

That cartoon of the birds in the snow just makes me giggle!!! You certainly know how to give us the joys of laughter...that, I appreciate.

may your new year be filled with happiness in each and every corner you turn.

It's was WAY too early for the song (George Younce, I think??) I laughed and woke up family. LOL

I just replayed it for my daughter. That's so cute!

The year you were born thing was cool. So many things that I didn't know! It was interesting that it mentioned some of my favorite movies.

So glad to be home from visiting inlaws and catching up on blogs!

I need to catch up on your recovery.
