Fun Friday with a little help from my friends . . .

Today's Thought for the Day:

What soap is to the body, laughter is to the soul. -Yiddish proverb

Life can change in one split second - I know this for a fact! Here are some split seconds.

These are hysterically funny! Look at your own risk!

This is the fairy tale that should have been read to us when we were little:

Once upon a time

~~~~~~~~
in a land far away,
~~~~~~~~

a beautiful, independent,

self-assured princess

~~~~~~~~
happened upon a frog as she sat
contemplating ecological issues
on the shores of an unpolluted pond
in a verdant meadow near her castle.
~~~~~~~~

The frog hopped into the princess' lap

and said: ' Elegant Lady,

I was once a handsome prince,

until an evil witch cast a spell upon me.

~~~~~~~~
One kiss from you, however,
and I will turn back
into the dapper, young prince that I am
~~~~~~~~

and then, my sweet, we can marry

~~~~~~~~
and set up housekeeping in your castle
~~~~~~~~

with my mother,

~~~~~~~~
where you can prepare my meals,
~~~~~~~~

clean my clothes, bear my children,

~~~~~~~~
and forever feel
grateful and happy doing so. '
~~~~~~~~

That night,

~~~~~~~~
as the princess dined sumptuously
~~~~~~~~

on lightly sauteed frog legs

~~~~~~~~
seasoned in a white wine
~~~~~~~

and onion cream sauce,

~~~~~~~~
she chuckled and thought to herself:
~~~~~~~~

I don't freaking think so.

HOW SMART IS YOUR RIGHT FOOT?

You have to try this please, it takes 2 seconds. I could not believe this!!!

It is from an orthopaedic surgeon............

This will boggle your mind and will keep you trying over and over
again to see if you can outsmart your foot, but, you can't.

It's pre-programmed in your brain!

1. Without anyone watching you (they will think you are GOOFY......)
and while sitting at your desk in front of your computer, lift your
right foot off the floor and make clockwise circles.

2. Now, while doing this, draw the number "6" in the air with your
right hand. Your foot will change direction.

I told you so!!! And there's nothing you can do about it! You and I
both know how stupid it is, but before the day is done you are going
to try it again, if you've not already done so.

New wine for Seniors...

I kid you not....
New Wine for Seniors

California vintners in the Napa Valley area, which primarily produce Pinot Blanc, Pinot Noir and Pinot Grigio wines, have developed a new hybrid grape that acts as an anti-diuretic.
It is expected to reduce the number of trips older people have to make to the bathroom during the night.

The new wine will be marketed as

Pinot More

Sandie, you must have a library that is out of this world. You have such funny stuff! To think that I've eaten a spider in my sleep grosses me out. I hate spiders when I'm awake.

Really? Green Coke?
The calories made me laugh :-)

Everything here today is hilarous Sandie! I read a couple of them to Bill as he is trying to read the paper while I'm across the room.

We were away from the computer earlier this week -- so glad I checked in this morning -- love your Fridays.

Ugh!! for #16! In the video, loved the picture of the bear catching the fish in his mouth. My brother and sister-in-law went on an Alaskan cruise and saw a bear in the river catching eating fish. Reminded me of that!

Gotta love Friday's Sandie! The cartoon with Ethel is just too funny! I can see her point in that one! lol

Brilliant! Good to have a laugh on this dreary Friday. I don't know where you find them all, but keep them coming! I absolutely loved the one about the princess and the frog. Just TOO funny!!

What a great post! Lots of laughs. As one of the 7% of the population who are lefties, I decided to try the foot circling/#6 drawing with my left hand instead of my right. Same results. Weird.

I loved the Gene Simmons tribute to the Military. I had tears streaming down my cheeks and I'm a Canadian!

Love your blog

Sandie, your posts get funnier all the time. I don't know WHERE you find this stuff. It is HYSTERICAL and unique.

Try as I may, sitting at the kitchen table with my laptop in front of me, I could NOT make the figure 6 without my foot changing direction. It was like an invisible puppet was pulling a string. Hysterical.

The British voice makeover video was a hoot, also.

YOU ARE A RIOT. Susan

OK, so I guessed that all of them were true. That makes me right. But that doesn't mean that I'm not SHOCKED by a few!!

Which ones, you ask? Thanks for asking...

#1 - except perhaps for Eve.
# 8 - don't tell them what happens to those knees later in life!
#12 - see, those rumors about alligators in the sewers are TRUE!
#16 - really?!?
#24 - I had NO idea on this one. It kinda bothers me...

OK, the foot/hand thing was really weird! And here's something even weirder. My husband is one of those 7% lefties. So, when I had him start circling clockwise with his right foot, and then asked him to write the number "6" in the air - he did it with his left hand. And...lo and behold...that old right foot kept doing the circles just fine!! He was a little less successful when he did it with his right hand/right foot. (Plus, it was good for a laugh watching him try to "write" with his right hand!!)

You make me laugh, Sandie - and I need that!

GOD BLESS!

What a fun post, Sandie, as always - very entertaining AND educational. Yes, I actually knew about the spiders because when people sleep and have their mouths open, that can happen...

Ginny Hartzler said...

I LOVE the split second video!!!! I knew that most of those things were true, and singled out the spider one to check on at the bottom, ick!!

I was just thinking If we all have eaten spider's guess they must of been non poisonous ones or we're all pretty lucky. Trish

If we have eaten spiders in our sleep, how many others must just be crawling around on us!! Yikes!

I am more intriqued by Michael Jackson owning the rights to the South Carolina State Anthem. Interesting.

And, the frog fairytale was my fav!! LOL!

You sure bring smiles to alot of frineds' faces. That six thing can be done IF you draw it from the bottom up.
