Monday Musings

Yippee:
Bob said this about Debbie - "She is eating regular food - when she will eat (she's stubborn). Getting physical therapy. I haven't heard from the neurologist yet. Looks like she will be doing all her therapy at the hospital instead of a nursing home. Talking a little more each day."
I think this means she is going to be okay. Thanks to all my prayer warriors - I think it is a miracle.

Who Put The Dog Out ...

A couple was going out for the evening.

They'd gotten ready, all dolled up, but just needed to put the dog out when the taxi arrives.

However as the couple walked out of the house, the dog shoots back in the house.

They don't want the dog shut in the house, so the wife goes out to the taxi while the husband goes upstairs to chase the dog out.

The wife, not wanting it known that the house will be empty, explains to the taxi driver: 'He's just going upstairs to say good-bye to my mother.'

A few minutes later, the husband gets into the cab.

'Sorry I took so long' he says. 'Stupid dog was hiding under the bed and I had to poke her with a coat hanger to get her to come out! Then I had to wrap her in a blanket to keep her from scratching and biting me as I hauled her arse downstairs and tossed her in the back yard!

She better not poop in the vegetable garden again!'

The silence in the cab was deafening.
(Thanks Linda).

Thought for the day:

“You can gain more friends by being yourself than you can by putting up a front. You can gain more friends by building people up than you can by tearing them down. And you can gain more friends by taking a few minutes from each day to do something kind for someone, whether it be a friend or a complete stranger. What a difference one person can make!”
Sasha Azevedo

Okay just for today I will be myself, I will build people up, I will be kind to everyone - will you join me?

I love you all and you are beautiful, smart, wonderful, sweet, etc. (And this is me being crazy chatty.

Sandie

Sandie, you are always building us up. You are such a kind person. I am so thankful that our keyboards crossed paths. Thank you for the sweet words to my daughter. She opened the daycare 3 weeks ago. I loved that story and the quote. Happy to hear the encouraging update on Debbie. Blessings for you this day, my friend:)

That's such encouraging news about Debbie. I agree that we have seen a miracle.

I love the dog story. Too funny!

I'll promise to be myself today. I often try to be anyone BUT, but that annoying Debbie comes popping out no matter how hard I try to change her.

How thrilled I am to hear about Debbie's progress. It's a good thing to see her being stubborn - lets me know that she's still got some fight in her!

The dog story - very funny (as was the picture of the dog - I guess I forgot to turn off the webcam - that's the only explanation I can come up with for how you got a picture of me first thing in the morning!)

Yes, I will join you in building people up and being kind. This tired old world needs some more NICE!!

GOD BLESS!
