Sunday's Gift - a little humor and a dance . . .

Well we had an interesting night last night - we're getting used to having squirrels in our attic. I told hubby we had another one and of course he didn't really believe me but to kind of make me happy he put a couple cages up there a month ago. Now we have had the outside sealed and trees cut down - so he did figure the noise was my imagination...

Last night he asked if I heard a noise and I said yes. Went back to sleep. The noise got louder and louder and he went up in the attic and low and behold a squirrel was in the cage. Comes down and says he'll get it tomorrow. LOL - my procrastinator. The noise continues and he finally gets up - gets fully dressed in boots and gloves and goes gets the thing. It's trying to get out and crying. Not a good site!

He sets it outside in the cage over night - and today took it far away and let it out.
That's one for the hubby!

If you hear a voice within you say 'you cannot paint,' then by all means paint, and that voice will be silenced. - Vincent Van Gogh

(I love that quote.)

Okay - stay with me here.

We're all going to die one day and I'm thinking and believing we're all going to go to Heaven here. Of course when we go we will be worshipping the Lord and singing his praises.

But we get a new body and a new life. Is there anything here on earth you can't do and have always wanted too? Now this is silly, but my mind does think like this.

I have always wanted to be able to dance. I love dancing. However, since my teens I have not been able to as I have had hip problems then knee problems. So there is just no way for me to dance here on earth,

Someone sent me this video and I felt so good and happy when I watched it - and when I feel that way - I feel closer to God - do you know what I mean? Now only do I feel the need to be closer when I'm sad - I feel closer when I experience joy too.

And I think when I get to Heaven - I'll be able to dance in my new body. Okay not like this necessarily, but I'll be able to dance. This is just so happy - I hope you enjoy.

Now go with me here - do any of you have things you can't do now that you'll be able to do in Heaven?

A little laughter - we sure do depend on computers don't we?

Love,
Chatty

Good humorous post for a Sunday, Chatty!! I loved the bride and groom coming out of church! LOL! You can just imagine it, can't you. Well, actually I can dance just like that couple in the video, only my feet can probably go a bit faster!!! I wish - yes, I have always wanted to jive. I was actually there back in the 60's but never learnt to do it. So that's what I will be doing in heaven. Up there bopping like a good 'un! That Vincent van Gogh quote is brilliant, but I can't pinch another one of yours!!

Good morning Sandie!
First of all, applause for "Mr. Sandie" coming to your rescue ... tho' there's this wee part of me that's feeling sorry for the squirrel! (I'm weird that way.)

Oh, but I like your thoughts on Heaven! For some reason, this reminded me of the Robin Williams' movie, "What Dreams May Come." That interpretation of the hereafter just keeps on lingering in my brain. I had to look up this quote from that movie, but thought you'd like it, too: "A whole human life is just a heartbeat here in Heaven. Then we'll all be together forever."

Have a great day!

Oh Sandie I love to dance and have done a lot in my lifetime! I wish I could sing and others would not run in the opposite direction! Glad the squirrel is gone! hugs, Linda

I could not take my eyes away from their feet, it looked like they were floating sometimes! They sure didn't have much room on the stage though, did they?
Those darn squirrels...we have them too, and I swear, sometimes, it sounds as if they're "bowling" up there!

Love your squirrel story - poor little thing. So glad your husband relocated it - hope it finds its family.

I'd like to be able to sing in heaven. I used to sing to my babies, and I think they liked it, and lloyd and I sing along with the radio when we're driving, but I know I can't really carry a tune in a bucket no matter how I enjoying shouting out my favorite tunes.

Sandie,
My hubby and I used to have these moves, but we've slowed down since our boogie woogie days and only go dancing occassionally.

Hi Sandie! Woo hoo! Those dancers rocked. Both were great but the guy was even better! wow wow wowsers. I can just see you doing that boogie. When I get to the other side, and I hear St. Peter pounding on that piano, I'm going to ask one question: "Where's Sandie? I want see her dance!" Susan

Sandie, two things for me: #1, to be able to sing so my granddaughter will say, Grandma, you really can sing. And #2, to be able to sit cross legged. I have never been able to sit cross-legged. My knees stay up. Loved the email cartoon. Be Blessed.

Oh my gosh Sandie! I didn't know the squirrels were back! I can't believe they are back! I'm glad you were able to catch this one real fast and take him to another location to live! Gee!

Wow! The dancers! He was killing me with how fast he moved. Her too but he seemed a little faster for some reason. Reminded me of those dancing dolls on a paddle! Do you know what I'm talking about there? That was just wild!

Have a Great Day!

Got to love the squirrels. I would love to learn to paint. I love looking at the arts. They are so beautiful. I try but they never look like the figure I have in my head. I love the Van Gough quote.

YES!!!! It's my daydream. In my mind I have these clothes on, kind of long, sheer and flowing, and I'm just dancing and twirling around the house, spinning and spinning. And the sheer fabric flows along behind me. Seriously. I have had this dream for years. Why didn't I do it when I could? I was not so full of joy when I was younger. There are many, many things I want to do but can't. Like walk across the grocery store, jump for joy, get down on the floor and play with the girls like they ask me to, stand up for awhile and bake yummy things. Now all these things, I don't know if we will be doing them in heaven. Like playing golf and such. But I don't think we will want to because we will be perfect. We will somehow be having the most fun ever, more than we could even imagine. And that would make all the things we love to do down here just pale in comparison.

Sandie, My ex and I had a squirel in the wall once...of course, it was our bedroom wall. I was so afraid it would come through...or we would have to cut a hole in the wall to get it out. It finally got out on its own! shew!

Oh, Sandie, I want to SING!! I'll sing for your while you dance!! My ex told me once I couldn't carry a tune if someone put it in a bucket for me. Sadly, he was right. LOL! I really want to be able to belt out a soulful gospel song. That's what I want to do when I get to heaven. =)

Love the Van Gough quote... I'm going to use it with myself!

Sandie,Love this post! Squirrels in the attic are better than bats in your bellfree(have you ever heard that OLD saying?)
And wht do you mean you can not dance? You make my heart dance everytime I read an e-mail from you...soooo...maybe YOU are supposed to be making people dance!

We've had squirrels in the attic too, until everything was closed off.

And yes, I want to dance again too, just like in your video which I used to do when younger and my knees allowed unrestricted movement. But I also want to sing... I can't carry a tune in a bucket but have always wanted to sing!

Sandie - It occurs to me that you can dance with your feet and you can dance with your heart - and you most CERTAINLY dance with all your heart!!

I'd love to do these things in Heaven:

Run really fast.
Paint (paintings, not houses!)
Sing really well.
Go surfing.
Dance (I'm with you - I'm definitely challenged in this area)

And oh! How glad I am that the whole squirrel problem ended in a humane way! What a sweetie your husband was - Someday, the squirrels will honor him!

GOD BLESS!
