Tuesdays Show and Tail

I'm joining in with Angela's Show & Tail this week. I hope you join in! Please be sure to check out her guidelines!

Happy Hour in Africa!

If you know me you know that I had to share this - I thought you needed a laugh and this is too funny!
A laugh a day keeps the doctor away.

Watch as the elephants knock the fruit out of the tree and all the animals eat it off the ground.

It's in French, but you don't have to understand French to enjoy the video.

There are trees that grow in Africa which, once a year, produce very juicy fruit that contain a high percentage of alcohol. The tree is known as the "Elephant Tree," because elephants have a fondness for the fruit.

Because there is a shortage of water in that area, as soon as the fruits are ripe, animals come there to help relieve themselves of the heat.

You will easily know who had over-indulged...on purpose or not!

PS. The tree is the Marula tree. You can buy a great liqueur named"Amarula," which is made with the fruit and cream.. You can buy a great liqueur named"Amarula," which is made with the fruit and cream.

I don't know if this is true or not - I tried to look it up, but it's funny - so I hope you can have some laughs. (Thanks Molly).

Some of you can't get videos so here is a little something for you!

I loved your last post, I know you and your Family had a great time. They have a Farmers Market like this in New Orleans, or they did. I haven't been down there since Katrina and not sure if it is back or not.
Headed to Natchez with my Sister this Morning.

ok first thought is, can we get someone in africa to mail me seed for this tree to give my bucket garden hubby. second thought is, it appears alcohol does the same thing to animals as it does to humans. third, this is to funny

That was hilarious. Nothing like a bunch of drunken animals. Bet there was a lot of hangovers after that party.

That was hilarious Sandie! I had no idea that there is a fruit that makes animals drunk like that! Did you see all of the different animals gathered around eating together? Wild! You found another great one for TS&T!

LOL! Those poor animals! LOL! they are soooooo under the influence! I think my favorite part was that there were so many different kinds gathered together enjoying their 'party.' I did think it would be a bad time for a lion to happen along!
