Birthday Dinner at Steak and Shake? And the movie HOPS!

The final and actual birthday dinner - we went to Steak and Shake per his request.

He is so photographic - I think.

Daughter used the candles that wouldn't blow out - he had never seen them before and he was shocked! Drinking his lemonade with cookie cake! Yuck.
Grandma Chatty and the shadow is her daughter taking the picture!
Then we went to see the movie HOPS - WE LOVED IT! Five thumbs up from everyone!

Love,

Chatty

I like the surprise shot when the candles would not blow out. i would like a piece of that big cookie cake myself. looks like he had a birthday to remember for sure. you are busy making memories that in the future will be the pilot light to start his memories. great post again

Happy Birthday to your grandson! He's such a cutie. My girls always wanted to go to Steak and Shake when we visited the Atlanta area. We don't have them around here.

Glad for the shout out on HOPS. I had wondered/hoped it was good.

I love that quote, and it is so true. It was lovely to see all the birthday fun, and you are right, he has got a gorgeous smile. Loved the photo of the very proud grandma as well! Isn't it just the best being a grandma?! I love it. I've never seen those candles that don't blow out before - what a hoot!! Must try to get hold of some of those. Good post.

I love your hair!! And your pretty smile. Did you just go for dessert? No steak? But no shake, either?? The candles must have been hilarious!! I need to get some. He does have the sweetest, most sincere and dazzling smile, still childlike.

Sandie, I love Steak and Shake. I'm not Catholic, but I gave up
S&S for Lent. I can't wait until Lent is over. I miss those fries.
