Hobby Lobby or Just playiing around . . .

Guess what we are doing today? We are going to go to the Atlanta Civic Center and see a taping of Family Feud! Thank you Linda for telling me about it. Hopefully I will have some pictures tomorrow!

For today I have pumped so much information - heart - and soul out I feel exhausted - I've been writing now for a week.

So we went to Hobby Lobby - and I - to tell you the truth - like to buy things - funny things - things for others - whatever - but I didn't do that. I went around taking pictures of things I liked, my daughter liked, and my grandson liked - I had them with me.

Tell me if you liked anything . . .

So here goes:

First of all, I have to tell you...I love that Roald Dahl quote. Awesome words!!!

Next of all, would you believe that I only just discovered Hobby Lobby when I was in Florida in June. I was hanging with my sister-in-law, and she wanted to go there. Such a fabulous store. We browsed for close to an hour.

Finally, I love those glass-jar drink dispensers. I've seen them at Bed Bath and & Beyond and have wanted to buy one. Haven't had the extra money to do so, though. Plus, I'm not a big fan of stuff on my kitchen counters, so I'm not sure I would totally like it once I got it. They are so pretty though.

Anyhow, have a fun day.

Love,
Patti

I really like the green jug in the first picture and the chubby chef cookie jar. It looks like you had a fun, and hopefully relaxing, day.

Hi Sandie...Ohhhh, that was so cute you went around Hobby Lobby snapping photos. Good for you. I liked the turquoise glassware the best.

Have FUN today. Sounds like a blast. Take care. Susan

The Chef cookie jar! Although I'm not much of a cookie jar person, but that one is adorable. Ann

Seriously, Sandie, I liked everything. Good that I wasn't with you, I'd have bought it all.

Wait a minute, I no longer have credit cards. LOL

Have a great time today!! :)

my mother would have loved this store and every single thing you took a photo of, she collected frogs so that would be her favorite. we never had a problem buying a present for her because she loved any and everything. we could close our eyes and pick something here and she would love it. i am the opposite. if you gave me a money to spend in this store it would be wasted. i would be unable to find anything i wanted. unless they have a replaced mug that is just right.

forgot to say HAVE fun at the FF

I love Hobby Lobby, Did you buy all the things in the pictures? They are all way cool. The frogs are really very cute and I love the chef.

That's soooo cool that you are going to a taping of Family Feud! Hope you have fun!

I like the green drink dispenser. I kind of want one that is at Sams but I'm afraid that the spout will leak and then everything in it would end up on the floor! lol

Have Fun!

thanks for taking me along on your shopping excursion. i rarely make it to hobby lobby, after all it would take me a whole 15 min. to drive there! have a great day!

Gee thanks...you went to HL and didn't buy me anything. Worse, I now have the itch to go there myself.

Despite these feelings, I hope you have a great time at the taping. :-)

I'm not speaking to Google Reader. It's not updating your posts for me. I've missed so much! I love the hob lob. The prices are usually really good but the service at mine is terrible!

You know that brought back memories... I think we were in a store like that...in Mesa?... Loved it!!

Thena said...

We actually got a Hobby Lobby a couple of years ago. We call it hob lob for short. I could spend hours in there.
Have fun at the taping.

i don't get into the knick knacks as much as i like to peruse their furniture stuff. don't really buy a lot, but always like to look - it's an hour away from me tho so i don't get there too often.

I liked the Paris signs and the cute chef container. Now I want to go shopping, lol.

I go to Hobby Lobby at least once a week. Don't forget the print out the 40% off online coupon! Love this!

Gosh, so many comments today, Chatty! I love all things with a French theme, so I loved all those little signs and also the one saying never too busy to be beautiful! That's me!!! Hee Hee!! The little frogs were really cute as well. I love going to places and having a good browse like that.

Wonderful pictures, now I feel like I've been. We don't have one of these stores anywhere near here. My fave is the Paris Chocolat plaque!

Pat MacKenzie said...

What a good idea! Go shopping with your camera - then when you look at the pictures you can pretend you own all the pretty things. I see someone likes frogs!

I loved that last quote about why we write - for the moment and for retrospection. Beautiful and true.

Have fun at Family Feud! Great game. I think I like the chef the best. He looks so happy and I'm sure he is a good cook.

Debbie said...

Family Fued? I'm such a dork that I didn't know it was still on. That's going to be fun.

I love to browse at HL to see what I can see. Unfortunately, I get realllllly grumpy when it's 100 plus degrees and they are covered with Christmas decorations. It's just a peeve of mine.

So I'll look at your pictures instead.

Sharon said...

What a feast for the eyes!!

OK, yes, I found something I liked - I thought the lime-colored drink dispenser, and the pretty green glasses were really fun. They just looked so cheery - SUMMER!

No Hobby Lobby in California - sniff...

No one said anything when you started taking pictures? I'd be afraid they'd object. I asked one time at Fry's Electronics and they said no, but I'm sure people are sneaking pictures with their phones. The place is decorated to look like something from NASA. There are astronauts doing a space walk, The Space Station, etc., all hanging from the ceiling. I joke that people could save money by going there instead of NASA. I'd love to take pictures, but I asked and they said no. (I shouldn't have asked.)
