Fun Friday with a little help from my friends!

Okay look what Margaret at A Musing Margaret Made Me - see above - thank you - I love it.

Let's have some laughs today - it's been a long week!

So I've invited my friends to have some laughs with me.

Remember things could always be worse!

Okay my two cohorts in crime today are Annes Snap and Edit and of course Jerry at As the Cracker Crumbles.

I 'borrowed' this divider from Eva Arson's Art Gallery Blog.

Okay are we ready?

Here is a future designed laptop.

Thanks Linda at Country Corgi.

This is really cool! And yes, I got up off my chair to try it! It's freaky!
This is the craziest thing I've seen in a long time.. You also have to get out of your seat and walk away from your computer. People may think you're crazy. But it's well worth it.

When you look at this picture you see it's Albert Einstein..but if you stand 15 feet away it will become Marilyn Monroe. Now what do you think of the reliability of eyewitness testimony?

ALZHEIMERS' EYE TEST
(Its absolutely amazing!)
Count every " F " in the following text:

FINISHED FILES ARE THE RE
SULT OF YEARS OF SCIENTI
FIC STUDY COMBINED WITH
THE EXPERIENCE OF YEARS.
(SEE BELOW)

HOW MANY ?
Answer below.

Click on the following:

"Once upon a time, in a land far away,

a beautiful, independent, self-assured princess

happened upon a frog as she sat contemplating ecological issues

on the shores of an unpolluted pond

in a verdant meadow near her castle.

The frog hopped into the princess's lap and said:

'Sweet Lady, I was once a handsome prince,

until an evil witch cast a spell on me.

One kiss from you, however, and I will turn back

into the dapper young prince that I am.

Then, my sweet, we can marry

and set up house in yon castle

where you can prepare my meals,

clean my clothes, bear my children,

and forever feel grateful and happy doing so.'

That night, dining on a repast of lightly sauteed frogs' legs,

The princess chuckled to herself and thought:

I don't think so!"

Chatty's Giveaway starts Sunday

Answer:

1. Inbred Cat (In Bread)

2. WRONG, THERE ARE 6 -- no joke.
READ IT AGAIN !
Really, go Back and Try to find the 6 F's before you scroll down.

The brain cannot process "OF".

Incredible or what? Go back and look again!!

Anyone who counts all 6 "F's" on the first go is a genius.

Three is normal, four is quite rare.

""I think laughter may be a form of courage… As humans we sometimes stand tall and look into the sun and laugh, and I think we are never more brave than when we do that. ~ Linda Ellerbee

Dr. Norman Cousins, in his book Anatomy of an Illness (1981), described how watching Marx Brother movies helped him recover from life-threatening tissue disease.

"Is it possible," he wondered, "that love, hope, faith, laughter, confidence, and the will to live have therapeutic value?"

Cousins made it a point to enjoy a hearty belly laugh several times a day. A few minutes of laughter gave him an hour or more of pain-free sleep.

"Funny is an attitude," observed comic Flip Wilson.

Medical studies show that laughter boosts levels of endorphins, the body's natural painkillers, and suppresses levels of epinephrine, the stress hormone.

According to writer Arnold Glasgow, "Laughter is a tranquilizer with no side effects."

In an ABC television interview, Professor Lee Berk, who has studied laughter and medicine for the past 18 years, explained that laughter increased the Natural Killer Cell activity, the cells that destroy viruses and tumors. Laughter also increased a disease-fighting protein, B-cells, the source of a disease-destroying antibody, and T-cells which help cellular immune response.

Hearty laughter also exercises the lungs and circulatory system and increases the amount of oxygen in the blood. "He who laughs," said Mary Pettibone Poole, "lasts."

C'mon. Laugh and be happy. You can do it! Scientist Boris Sokoloff explained, "Like swimming, riding, writing, or playing golf, happiness can be learned."

~~End today, begin tomorrow, with laughter."

The prison breakout is funny!

I had to walk so far back from my computer I hit the wall and knocked off the 2 cowboy hats hanging there, but I got it!

Great post! I'll share it with hubby and son later. Have a wonderful weekend!

What a marvellous post! I am so peeved that my brain didn't register the 'f's' in 'of' It's rather a let down having my lack of genius(ness) confirmed. Prior to this, I could at least live in fool's paradise.

Well, I have lost my marbles apparently. I've taken that darn test before and should have known better! Ann

To answer your questions, Sandie. Yes, I was born in Africa :) As a matter of fact, the country where I was born was Souhern Rhodesia, which, since its independence in the 70's, is now Zimbabwe. My parents emigrated to South Africa where I now live, in the 60's. I met my husband in my second last year at university and we were married right after we graduated. Six years later, we had our first child (a son) followed two years later by our daughter. We are very happy living here, but sadly, apart from my 94 year old FIL and our two children, both my husband's and my families (my parents, sister, BIL and their children amd my husband's two sisters plus their respective spouses and children) all emigrated elsewhere around the world, so we are a very scattered bunch.

My son found 5 of 6 F's, more than hubby and I. lol! My son liked the rollup laptop, but he wants the Sony wrist computer. It's always a fun Friday with Sandie!

Fun post, Sandie. That one with the letter "F" was amazing. Hope you have a great day. Susan

Susan said...

p.s. Forgot to tell you that I did see Marilyn Monroe but something must be wrong with my eyesight because she still had a mustache!Susan

The Marilyn Einstein thing is wild, and I haven't found the other F's yet. That computer roll up is so cool, I had to go to the website and look. I guess this is a proposal to get someone to design one like this, wonder if this place would provide the money?

I am a bit late - as usual it's always nice to read your Friday Funnies. I really like the new name icon in the top :-) I like the pic with the cat...then you for the laughs. Enjoy your weekend my friend.

Meg (Margaret at a Musing Margaret) did great with making that tag for you, Sandie! She is a very dear wonderful person; consider her (like you) one of my dearest of friends!

LOL about the underwater bowling; like real life, I managed to throw quite a few gutter balls, but did get two strikes and one spare, finished with a score of 101!

That was amazing how that picture changed from Einstein to Marilyn Monroe (yes I did get up and move back; amazing!!)

another great Friday of fun! Now onto a weekend where perhaps it will be a restful one for you?

I walked all angles to see Marilyn. That was weird. Plus, I had a great time bowling and I don't do games usually. That was great Friday Fun.

I want that computer. That is so cool.
I don't think Jerry was impressed when I told him I got all 6 F's on the first try. I kept trying to tell him I was a genius but he just wouldn't believe me....lol

Too funny about the inmate digging into the sewer like that! lol

Love your new Chatty Crone that your friend made you! That is too cute!

Happy Fun Friday!

Funny Friday as always! And your blog is getting even more lovely every day with all those decorative touches.

BTW, I'm a genius! But only because I very recently saw the same sort of thing, but the letter was "T" and the sentence had a lot of 'to' and 'the' in it which my brain didn't process at first try of course. so I was wise to this one!

Catherine said...

Such a pretty icon! It's nice to have talented friends!

Happy Weekend!

In-bred cat - LOL!!

Hey, I'm a pretty good underwater bowler. Who knew?

Thanks for the smiles and I agree - I think happiness can be learned.

How do you find all these things? I think you need to work for a morning talk show or something. You could be rich.

Cheryl @ TFD said...

Sandie, you have the neatest posts! I got a 6!! First time I've ever been in a Genius category...ha! Have a great weekend!

Sandie, that In-bread cat cracked me up!! I do feel much better about the AD situation. Strangely enough I saw all six. Still couldn't remember that woman's last name! =/ Thank you for the laughter. blessings ~ tanna

That optical illusion with Albert's picture makes me wonder what some of the actresses I regularly slobber over really look like up close.

Sharon said...

The laptop was fascinating. That way it can fit over the rolls in my belly...

I can't believe you actually got me up off my butt to look at the Einstein picture. You're right! It is Marilyn Monroe. Although, it could still be Albert - there were rumors that he enjoyed dressing in drag from time to time. Was he really a man - relatively speaking?? (Get it? The Theory of Relativity? GROAN...)

OK, I'm a genius. I got 6 "F's" - at first I only counted three, figured that couldn't be right - there had to be a trick - and then I saw the "of's".

Frog's legs - a good alternative to kissing a chauvinistic prince...

:)

You're welcome! I found 5 of the 6, and was so smug in thinking I'd found them all...until I looked at the answers. I went back and found the sixth. Amazing, huh?
I really want one of those rolltops!! And that escaping prisoner...I just can't think about that. lol
My dad only called me "Frog" when growing up...but I loved the princess story, even if she was eating "family." Heheh
