I enjoy October!

Yesterday I wrapped and wrapped and wrapper - and I must say I am not a very good wrapper. Oh well.

And I have had a couple people say they can't leave a comment and one can't follow me - are any of y'all having these issues?

Now I do have some friends who aren't my followers and that don't have a blog - believe it or not. And this recipe is from one of my longest (1978) and sweetest and dearest friend - she has been with me threw it all and she's still here. lol Hi Jean!

Now this recipe is from her. And I have tested it. It is nothing short of delicious and healthy - I don't mind healthy if it is delicious.

Maybe you will enjoy it too.

Chicken Avocado Salad

½ c. plain yogurt (I used no- fat Greek)

1 T. onion (I used a few sliced green onions)

1 T. lemon juice

1 tsp. garlic salt

3 drops hot sauce

1 ½ c. cooked chicken

1 c. shredded cheddar cheese

1 med. ripe avocado

1 med. tomato

Mix

Serve with mini pita pocket bread and shredded lettuce.

THIS IS GREAT - hope you try it and enjoy it.

It looked like this - but I used pita and shredded lettuce, but this looks great too!

That looks delicious. I am a huge fan of chicken salad and love to try different varieties.

And I don't know why, but I just feel healthier when I'm eating something crammed in a pita.

Looks delicious. Next time avocados are on sale, I'll try this. (They are an exorbant price here in Atlantic Canada!)

And thank you for yesterdays hymn list. I loved it.

I have been looking for a light lunch for guests coming on Wednesday. This looks perfect. Do you know if the avocado turns brown if this is made in advance?

I have been following your blog but not commenting because I didn't want to get in the way of your contest participants. That was a very nice group of prizes you offered.

I'm so saving this recipe! We just harvested our chickens so to speak, so I'll be looking for creative recipes to cook!

I just wish the price of avocados would go down - they've been outrageous here for months now.

our avocado tree that hubby grew from a seed is dropping the biggest we have ever seen. he loves them and would like this recipe. i can't eat them at all, he even talked me into tasting one yesterday that he was eating with salt on it. it is just like onions, i can't eat them either. but he would love this recipe. now if only he had a wife who would make it for him. no problems with me making comments.

the salad looks great. I have had no issues with comments. I had a reader say she has to comment through blogger reader for hers to work on mine though? hmm. What are you wrapping or did you mean rapping? Word up.

try switching your comment placement to 'pop-up window'. 'embed below post' is the worst for causing problems!

I am having chicken salad for dinner tonight. Hubby is at our son's football game that is away and I don't make the trip for the away games, too much on my back. Never ever thought to use avocados! And too funny on my pot roast recipe being the same way you cook yours! Hope your day was good. Like the new look of your blog!

I love the new look of your blog for October! What you KNOW someone who doesn't blog!?!? LOL, I have one friend in RL who blogs - the rest probably think we are nuts. You are sweet to do all that wrapping - I still don't think I should get anything since I didn't put forth any effort! Ann

I did have trouble following someone, but it was fixed. I did have trouble commenting a few months ago and it turned out I have to use Google Chrome as the browser for Blogger. I don't think they want us to use Explorer. Love the recipe because I love chicken and avocados.

No problem leaving a comment, Sandie! Yum on the chicken salad; I love avocados!! We had a friend where we used to live that had avocado trees (before they sold their property). Every so often they would give us big bags of avocados.....such a treat!!

I bet you are a great wrapper!! As long as you aren't a rapper, LOL :)

(but some rap music is okay :)

as long as the lyrics aren't bad.......
