Thursday - The Heart of Christmas - a true story.

No it's not Thanksgiving yet, but this song is important and you can have The Heart of Thanksgiving too. I have so many of my dear blogger friends on my prayer list now. They might have cancer, have family members with cancer, death of a pet, suicide, depression, money woes, loss of parents or other family member, and other illnesses. I'm praying like crazy. Have you noticed it too lately? It is a rough time out there.

Now you will cry when you watch this. I've experienced a lot of loss in my life too - but what I have received from this loss is a sense of how important it is to LOVE RIGHT NOW - don't put if off - be with your family and your friends.

"Bear patiently, my heart,
for you have suffered heavier things."

Some info on the video:
Last Christmas, Matthew West released a touching video, "One Last Christmas" inspired by the true story of the Locke Family and their quest to make one final Christmas wish for their son come true. This year, Matthew delivers yet again another heart-warming and beautiful song, "The Heart of Christmas" as the title song from the GMC movie "The Heart of Christmas" based on this incredible story of the Locke family and the community that gave this little boy one last Christmas. This is truly a Christmas must-see!!

my friends granddaughter was born with cancer, they found it at 3 months old, she just made her 4th birthday, it was so sweet and horrible the way the church family helped the family.

The Locke's live just across the river from my town, and the outpouring of love and support has been so inspiring. Now Dax's mom is trying - no, going! - to raise funds to cover one days' expenses at St Jude's Hospital, and I truly believe she will make it happen. They're an amazing family.

My heart goes out to families with this kind of heartache. It really makes other problems look so small.

The link to the video clip is not showing up for me at all, so I am unable to pass comment in that regard. However, I love the message you have shared with us, today, Sandie. Every moment of every day is a gift and ought to be treasured. You have a heart of gold xoxo

So very touching. Yes, I agree - I just had a conversation with my son this morning. We agree, it seems like it's getting rougher in this world - the stresses are increasing.

Prayer - thanks to the Lord, we have a place to turn, and Someone who listens to everything that concerns us.

GOD BLESS!

I'll have to watch the video later Sandie. I don't want to be crying in front of the entire family right now! I will agree with you that life is just way too short! Today I'm thankful that I was able to tell my father in law that I loved him before he had his surgery and later passed away. I'm also thankful that he told me that he loved me too!

Love,
Angela

I am writing this down on my fridge so I can see it. The video alone touched my heart.

And the song is so true. How easy it is to miss the heart of Christmas. I've had it happen to me, in fact. I have gotten all caught up in the "urgent" and missed the truly important.

Loved this, Sandie.

This morning I am driving my dear friend to her radiation treatment. She has been 'living' as she like to put it with stage four cancer for six years. She is now needing total brain radiation as the tumors are too many to keep having the cyberknife procedures. She has multiple tumors in multiple organs, yet she still smiles, and does her best to keep living with cancer, not dying from it.

Hugs~

Very nice song. It's always a sobering moment when we see the children down at the hospital. Reid says he knows they're going through some of the same tests and procedures as him and they're too young to understand why it's all happening.

still working on trying to catch up with everyone. Not familiar with this song but very nice, glad you shared it
