Thursdays Thoughts - The end of an era - for us.

Six years of growth - love - school - life.

My grandson on his first day of kindergarten.
No glasses and he's wearing a note for the school to what class he is supposed to go to.  Mrs. Richards - she taught him kindergarten and first.  His all time favorite teacher.

What a mess my house it - everything is out! lol But here he is his last day of 5th grade.

Here he is with his glasses and wonderful smile.  Disco has been added to the household.

He really loved his first 6 years - let's pray he does the next seven - lol. Love you buddy.

Can you pick which one is his mother on her first day of kindergarten? I still am in touch with Jean whose daughter is in this picture and her son Jeff.  She is my angel girl.  We met when the girls were babies in a neighborhood Bible Study.  My daughter is 34 years old now.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:

Isn't it amazing how our life 'freezes' in pictures. You have a handsome young man there!

Not me, on picking in pictures. I always joked about the Post Office and the 10 most wanted on the wall. I always said I could stare at them all, and walk out, meet the most notorious one, smile, say good morning and keep on walking. not good at that.LOL

I have been meaning to say, ever since we met, Something about the little girl(on your side bar) leaning back, belting out and inspiring the Camel to do the same, 'MAKES ME FEEL GOOD'. I do not know why, it just does!

Love from here hope you have a wonderful day!!!

Your grandson is going to have a wonderful summer. He looks so cool!!!! Glad school is over for this year! I can't guess which one is his mother. Let us know, will you? At first I thought she was the one in the plaid dress and then I thought it was the little girl holding the little boys hand??? But not sure.

Your grandson is so cute, Sandie. It's amazing what can happen in just a few years, isn't it?? I feel the same way about Katie. When they're little, they change so fast!

My son will be a junior in HS next year and it freaks me out! I cried when he turned 10, double digits was hard for me. Adorable pics of grandson...and yes, it goes by so fast it's just unfair.

I'm guessing the girl on the far right...but I always stink at guessing, so won't be shocked if wrong. lol

Hi Sandie, Great pictures of your grandson... Kids do grow up so very very fast... It only seems like yesterday that my sons were that age.... Now they are in their 40's.... Yipes!

I pray that he will enjoy the next 7 yrs of school like he has the first 6....

Not sure which is your daughter in that picture... Is she the blonde (tallest one)????

Hugs,
Betsy

He should be very proud of himself for all the accomplishments he has made that brought him to this point. I don't have a clue which one is your daughter. Hope your day has been wonderful. Hugs, Debby

Dear Sandie, Such a true and very wise saying. Children try to mirror their parents example.

Thank you for visiting Sandie. You are always like sunshine.

Isn't it crazy, and a bit sad how quickly time flies? Andy's pix are delightful!

OK, I'm throwing all my bets, your daughter's the leggy blonde in the center.
... and what-the-heck is that girl to her left looking at any way?

Angela said...

Andy has always been a cutie! It's hard to believe how fast they grow up! My daughter will be in High School next year where boys will be asking to take her on a date! YIKES!

I am going to guess that your daughter is the last girl on the left or she could be the second girl.

I survived Field Day today! lol But I cheated. I checked him out at lunch and didn't bring him back! lol

Hugs,
Angela

Time goes quickly, doesn't it? My oldest grandson "graduated" from kindergarten last week. Seems like yesterday that he was born and we were first time grandparents. Now there are five grandchildren! I used to take pictures of all my kids on the first day of school as well. Good memories. Your grandson is a fine looking young man!

As Tennyson put it so well, "The old order changeth, yielding place to new" (or words to that effect).

What a wonderful post. I love seeing pictures of children as they grow.

Too funny about your house. I do the same thing when I look at old pictures I took. I am very careful now when I take pictures to be sure I am zoomed in. LOL Of course years from now, no one will know what my house looked like today. You can't win.

BlueShell said...

wow...he's big now...and handsome!!!

You know...sometimes my house is mess too...lol...do not worry....

The first girl counting left, near the little boy? Is she? I do not know if I understood your question!

and THAT is a good advise!
God bless you. Bshell

OK, I already mentioned in the most recent post that I loved this, but I wanted to comment and try to guess.
