Tuesday's Tale

The Squirrels Adventure

NO BIRD SEEDS TODAY BUT I WILL BE BACK!

To make this short - I'm sorry, I'm late in reading and responding - but with the kids home for the summer - the faster I go the behinder I'm getting - but I'll be there.

I have a very dear friend - who was coming out here to visit me on the 25th - that has suffered a major stroke and will not be coming here now.  In fact, she will probably be going home to the Lord - she is not responding to treatment of any sort.  Now I just talked to her last week (!) to finalize when to pick her up from the airport.  I'm not sad for her at this point because I believe with everything in my heart and soul she will be with God in paradise soon.  She is a wonderful Christian gal.

Darn, I'm sad for me. I hurt.  I'll miss her.  I'll miss our emails, her visits, and her friendship.  And I am so sad.  I have no answers.

But yesterday's words from me still ring true.  God is good all the time, All the time, God is good.  Do I understand why.  NO.  Am I mad? YES.  Do I question why?  YES.

But this I know - somehow - it will all work out.  No matter what.  I don't understand. And I don't understand why others are having loved ones who are sick.  But I still know this - it WILL all work out.

God is going to have a wonderful lady up there - maybe there will be a miracle here - but her family doesn't think so.  And the earth will lose another fabulous person.

As Tammy at the Northern Nest reminded me of this - "The sun is still shining even if there is a cloud in front of it...it is hard to believe sometimes, but that doesn't change that fact."

So you never ever know from one second to the next.  Love and live now.  Love, Chatty Crone

Your squirrel shots are so funny...although...they remind me of the two bird feeders I had to throw out yesterday because the squirrels ruined them!

I am so very sorry about your friend. I will pray for you both. Enjoy the good memories, my friend.

"The Squirrel's 'Mis'Adeventure!" Ha!

And on the exact same vein, I believe, (for) (being mere humans...) because of our nature (to carry and to wallow down in the deepest of the depths, here, CC) we often don't understand all things---BUT---thanks be the the Lord (on High) for the lifting [of the heavy and at times ponderous weight(s) that we carry...]
Yours, Louvregirl (Yes, I suppose myself to be the being the truest of dromedary creatures...always lifting the heaviest of burdens and an expert in the shoving of them about---) :-)
Yes, CC?

Sorry for my typos. I am hopeful that you caught my drift (in their midst.) :-) :-) Praying all the day- yours (again)

I'm glad she had you as a friend - that was a treasure for both of you.

I'm so sorry about your friend, Sandie; I know she is a very dear one and I do know you were looking forward to your visit today. Such a reminder of how short and fragile life can be and how we need to appreciate each and every day we have been given by God. Will keep her family in my prayers.

take care of yourself; don't overextend yourself too much this summer; enjoy the time with your family when they are home and know that blogs will always be here so take a mini break if you can!

It Is Never Easy My Friend

It is never easy when one must go
And one must stay- behind;
It is never easy, I know, I know-
It sears both heart and mind.

It is never easy! God knows this too,
That is why He stays quite near
To help you as you may stumble through
The why's and grief and fear.

For sure it is not easy, but one must go on
As none of us really knows the hour;
If we trust in times like this
God will give strength when needed and his power.

Hugs Sandie

I remembered when you posted the status of your friend on Facebook. I'm sorry to hear she has not recovered and you may be losing her. Your post was a beautiful testimony to all of us who don't have a clue why things happen the way they do. Praying you will continue to have peace in this horrible situation.

Those photos of the squirrel are pretty funny!

Awwww, Sandie. Wish I could give you a big bear hug. May the Lord send a legion of angels to watch over your precious friend until He calls her home. It's never easy to say goodbye to those we love.

Luckily, we know we'll meet again one day in the other realm of life. Just thinking of that fills me with joy!

Great squirrel shots! Was that in your backyard? Susan

I'm so sorry to hear about your friend. I will pray for you and for her and her family. ((((Hugs))))

A sweet although bittersweet entry. There comes a time we all ask Why? not being mad, just don't know why. it is comforting to know he sees tomorrow and we don't. HE can smile and say they will understand, it is not necessary now.
Yep, God is Good.

Love from here!!!! (love that sunset pic! and the quote!)

Hi Sandie, I'm sad with you/for you---but like you sad, I'm not sad for your friend. She will be with God soon --so how great is that?

But it's okay for us humans left her on this earth to be upset and confused. Life isn't easy --but with God's help, we'll survive. God Bless your special friend.

Love that last picture... Had to click on it to read it. It's GREAT.

Crazy squirrels... They'll do most anything to reach the birdseed.
Hugs,
Betsy

Dearest Sandie-

I am so very sad for you. I am sorry for you that you will be missing your precious friend. I pray that He takes her home and turns this to His glory, please know He never intended for us to know death. He always wanted eternal life for all of us in his garden, and then temptation and darkness came in. May your friend show you signs and love always, may your heart always be full of light when you think of her, and know that when she is gone from this world, she will no doubt share the light and love you showed her in this world.

Hugs to you, my friend. You have my prayers and sympathies.

Love you,

Jenn

I hope you have a great week.

Oh wow, Sandie. Life is so unpredictable, so fragile sometimes, huh? I'm hoping that God is especially close to your friend's family, and to you as you learn to deal with this.

On a lighter note, I look forward to watching the squirrels at my new home in the mountains (if I ever get moved!!) - they are really scamps.

I'm sorry that you are losing a good friend Sandie. It's painful... but it's not permanent. That is the hope we have in the Lord and it's a good hope :D

Sending you a big ((( hug )))

((HUGS)) I read the ache in your words as you write about your friend. Such a hard time. I have found the words to this song very comforting in times like these. The song is originally by Diamond Rio. Such great truth -

"God only cries for the living
'Cause it's the living that are left to carry on
And all the angels up in Heaven
They're not grieving because they're gone
There's a smile on their faces
'Cause they're in a better place than, oh, they've ever known
God only cries for the living
'Cause it's the living that are so far from home
Yeah, we're so far from home".

The little squirrel may have been defeated today but they keep coming back until they figure it out. He will get those bird seed!

So sorry to hear about your friend.

Your squirrel made me smile and your update on your friend saddened my heart. The love the quote about the sun always shining. It is difficult to remember that isn't it? Bless Sweet Tea too, for her Diamond Rio song lyrics. My heart is with you.

Oh dear Sandie, that is such a sad thing to try and accept, huh? I had a dear friend get so horribly sick last year, but she pulled through. It sounds so bleak for your friend. Gosh dang it! Don't you just want to kick something - or hit something? Go ahead - you can! I loved hearing your understanding of it. You have a great understanding of Christ and that warms my heart. My prays will be in behalf of you and your friend.
BIG HUG!!

I'm sorry.

I just got off the phone with my friend and neighbor. A mutual friend is failing and hospice is with her now. I felt when talking with her just as you said - I felt bad for my neighbor/friend because she is so sad and upset and is losing her best friend. Her failing friend is in good hands and I have faith that she will soon have no pain and will have eternal comfort and happiness. I wish the same for your friend, Sandie and a virtual hug to you because I understand how badly you must feel. Ann

Sandie, I am so sorry. I am just so sorry. It WILL all work out... but, that doesn't mean it is easy. This just brings home to me the fragileness of life and how we need to enjoy each moment as best we can (sometimes it is just difficult... I know all about being mad and questioning).
