Wednesay Hump Day

HAPPY HUMP DAY!

I'm a little late here (big surprise I know) but here are the pictures from the grandson's last day of elementary school.

Here is is walking to the bus for the last time - no book bag - just his lunch - he wanted to see what it would feel like carrying nothing.

The principal decided to have it out on the field - it was 97 degrees - the hottest day of the year so far!

Chatty - Sharon (grandson's other grandmother) - and daughter.

There was a balloon arch that the kids walked through to get out on the field.

It was also windy that day.

They also laid out the red carpet for them - they don't do anything half way at his school.

The school's motto.

Okay the gal is the current principal and the man was the first principal when the school started - and he was the principal when grandson started.

Wild Chatty - Sharon - and daughter.  (Remember the picture of which one was my daughter - the red head).

Grandson refused to wear a pink shirt - so he is the one in white.

They even sent up balloons!!!

The last bus ride home.

We went to the Olive Garden and his best friend went with us.

This marks the end of 6 years of school.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:

Always untie the ribbon for today - don't forget.

(I'm sure my son wouldn't have wanted to wear a pink shirt either :)

Wonderful pictures of you, your daughter and grandson! I have 3 that completed their first 6 years of schooling this year, but didn't get to be with any one of them for the last day of school. They live too far away for this grand'ma' to be there hardly ever. You are blessed having yours close. Hope your Hump Day is a wonderful one!

That balloon arch is fun! I just spoke with someone at a store to find out who made a balloon arch for them. I thought it would be fun for a party. Olive Garden is always tasty. Nice to take GS and his friend out to eat. :) Congrats to your young man there!

I'm just getting here. I've been one big whirling dervish this week.

I'm glad I didn't miss it because the sight of that kid's grinning face is so adorable to me.

I'm cracking up that he wouldn't wear pink. He reminds me of a certain man I married.
