Wednesday Hump Day

First of all I love birds and their colors, but obviously not a great bird watcher - I said yesterday was a red headed woodpecker and apparently it is a  Pileated Woodpecker - sorry about that.  But I can tell you he is pecking my deck. Although the rain and owl is helping.  And I got a lot of suggestions - thanks.

Okay ever hear of putting on the Ritz?  Here its done Russian Style.  "What a crazy, delightful ever changing world! Who could have thought that in 2012 young people in Moscow would put on a "flash mob" happening, dancing to an 83 year old American song written by a Russian born American-Jew (Irving Berlin) whose last name is the capital of Germany."

Okay we're heading to Emory today for a second opinion on the bilateral subdural hematomas
of Rick's - I'll report to you tomorrow.  I hope they can tell him why or how it happened - maybe not.

Here's a little something to play around with to help with hump day - do you remember any of the songs of your year?

This is neat. It's sort of a "Jukebox Time Machine" of music. Each of the years below connects to the best 20 hits of that year via a Jukebox. Click on a year, wait a few seconds, and a Jukebox will appear showing you 20 hits from that year to select from. You can play all 20 hits, or.. click on just those that you like. Enjoy the ride!

We have always been happy with Emory so I hope you can get a good second opinion and also a protocol and wise counsel.

I just clicked to the year I got married, and the songs made me smile.

Hi Sandie. Re. the jukebox, remind me never to put in my birth year again. That was scary! lol

What a fun thing though!

And I meant to say that I'm glad to hear you're getting a second opinion for Rick. Let us know what you find out.

Hope you are able to get an answer, the unknown tends to be scary, but no matter what it is know that God is in control and He knows the answers. You and Rick are in my prayers.
Love the songs of the 50's. They had such good music back then, a far cry from what my 20 year old grandson listens to.

LOVE the FlashMob. GREAT song. I am praying all goes well for you all as you go to Emory for the second opinion on the bilateral subdural hematomas. We just found out that the mass on our daughter's liver is inoperable. It is a ball of blood vessels leading to vital organs that have entwined. If they rupture it is instant death. Not much else to say. Take care.

Hoping for the best with the second opinion. Loved the video...so uplifting! And the jukebox thing is cool. Although I was not to happy to see that the Yankees won the World Series the year I was born.

I have been praying for discernment for the doctor!!! And yes, your bird is a Pileated, they have the red crest and are the biggest of the woodpeckers. It could be pecking at your deck because it is finding bugs there, maybe check for wood borers or termites?

Arkansas Patti said...

I LOVE flash mobs. There is always such joy on the dancers faces but also on those lucky enough to be near by. Looking at the faces and clothes, that could have been anywhere USA-- well maybe not Florida.
Hope tomorrow brings you some answers. Let us know.
