Saturday Service

Thank you google.

There is a site that talks about Pinterest having a possible virus.  I saw it on Ann's Snap and Edit and Sandra at Madsnapper sent it to her.  CLICK HERE.

"Cartoon & Royalty-Free Photos.

Well, I've been spending hours removing most of the pictures on my two blogs. I'm still not done. I read that a politician in the U.S. is suing someone for posting an unflattering picture of him. I have found a few wonderful sites where you can use their photos royalty-free. Here they are

SOME USEFUL INFORMATION:

Thank you Sharon.

 Thank you Kelly

LEARN TO USE YOUR CURVES!

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:

“Patience is a kind of love. A love that is its own explanation in bewildered circumstance. It is an old, old woman placing a wrinkled-parchment hand against the cheek of a reckless child. Because her heart is too wise to make room for reproach. Too full to find place for offense. ”

Do you understand this - I do and I love it.

Good Morning sandie,
Thanks for those photo links - Every once in awhile I'll use a stock photo so hope these links will help me. and I think I have most of the not-my photos cleared out -- I've just deleted the whole posting since most were in 2008 & 2009.
Take care!!

I need to go back and delete a lot of the pictures I inserted ... I never gave a thought to copyrights ... I guess I naively thought that if they were on the internet, they were "fair game." I'm now older and definitely wiser (at least when it comes to copyrights), so I need to get my blog cleaned up.

Target has reached their maximum giving goal and has no more gift certificates to award. Hope Shiloh Hills did well!

What do the politicians do when the only photos they have are unflattering? I mean, when you can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear, so to speak. ;-)

Thanks for an informative post!
And those curves don't look like mine either. lol

I am very careful to choose a site that has free photos. Thank you for the links.

Tried to vote again, but the site said the voting was closed...they had reached their goal. What is that saying about having curves in all the wrong places...that I can relate to!

I wish I could vote for the school to get a gift card!
Spiders - they will change direction and move toward me if I come into a room. Honestly. And then they'll bite me. Spring is particularly awful, when they begin to move about.

laughing at sandra's response to the curves. :)

Just stopping in to say Hi Sandie and have a nice week-end.

eeegads, I think I could do without the spiders...now I'm going to have dreams of spiders crawling on me!
I hope you are doing okay...

Oh, you poor thing Sandie, removing all of the pictures and cartoons on your blog. It was full of them!

I like your spider chart. Got to remember the date (think I'll 'favor' the picture instead) for future reference.
A neighbor of ours lost and arm due to a brown recluse spider bite.

Nice curvy figures are much better than straight ones.

A virus? At Pinterest? That's not going to go over well.

What a shame that you had to delete photos from your posts. Too many people are just plain sue happy.

Thanks for the info on the spiders. They all look the same to me when I am squashing them. LOL

Love the patience quote. Patience is something that seems to be on the way out in this world with everything being instantaneous. It's not a good thing.

I steer clear of all spiders thank you very much!! It is great to know the high risk ones though.

Great advices today. Been out most of the day today, watching the tall ships that arrived at the docks a few days ago. Enjoy your day my friend.

You have TWO blogs!!?? Thanks for the links and the good advice. I love the quote about patience.

I found that cool spider chart not long ago because I woke up one morning and pulled the sheets back to find one hose horrible creatures nestled between the sheets. I was so thankful that I hadn't been bitten. Finally determined he might be a hobo spider.

Love the Marilyn pic and saying! I've had to remove comics from my blog too, it's a shame, not like I was saying I drew them, just thought they were funny and wanted to share... But it is what it is. Happy Weekend:@)

Hi Chatty -

Thanks for the other picture links. I'll check them out.

Ewww to the spiders. I miss my knight in shining armor spider disposer husband. Since he died, I now have to handle that task. Ugh.

Blessings,
Susan :)

Gosh I hope Interest is OK just recommended it to someone feeling out of sorts. I must admit seeing a few of those spiders.

Yikes about the spider page! I couldn't even look at it. LOL!
I deleted my Pinterest several months ago (for legal reasons) and really haven't missed it.
I also went through and deleted all the pics on my blog I didn't take...not worth the hassle of legal issues!!
Happy belated birthday to your son. He's just a little behind me. I'll be 39 in October. My mom says the same thing you did! :)

Since I have resisted Pintrest I don't have to worry. I'll wait till it's virus free.

If you look closely at photos on Google Photos it says "may be subject to copyright". That get Google off the hook. I rarely use internet photos but when I do I link back to where I got it.

I have many photos on both my blogs that show up in Google Photos and once in awhile I run across one on somebody's website. It doesn't bother me if they link back and give credit. What makes me mad is if they say they took the photo and claim it for their own. I have asked a couple of folks to remove photos like that and they did.
