Tuesday -

Good morning Chatty Friends - Happy Tuesday to you!  Do you know what I did yesterday?  I baked one loaf of Banana Bread (thanks Jean) and two loaves of Pumpkin Bread.  I was able to play Suzie Homemaker.

Now tell me - is this the truth or not?  It sure is here - no matter what we eat - Disco wants it!!!!!!  At least he thinks he does.

Okay here's another photo - now since I don't have two dogs - I'm not sure if it's true or not - but it seems to me it would be true.  I know it is for kids.  No one is where they should be. lol

Now for some ideas to make you feel better - we should try to do a little exercise every day.

And try to laugh a little every day too.

Debby at Just Breathe sent me a little humor and I think a little humor a day keeps the doctor away.

In parochial school, students are taught that lying is a sin.   However, Instructions also advised that using a bit of imagination was OK to express the Truth differently without lying. Below is a perfect example of those teachings:
Getting a Hairdryer Through Customs.
An attractive young woman on a flight from Ireland asked the priest beside her,
'Father, may I ask a favour' ?
'Of course child. What may I do for you?'
'Well, I bought my mother an expensive hair dryer for her birthday.
It is unopened but well over the Customs limits and I'm afraid they'll confiscate it..
Is there any way you could carry it through customs for me? Hide it under your
Robes perhaps?'
'I would love to help you, dear, but I must warn you, I will not lie.'
'With your honest face, Father, no one will question you.'
When they got to Customs, she let the priest go first. The official asked,
'Father, do you have anything to declare?'
'From the top of my head down to my waist I have nothing to declare.'
The official thought this answer strange, so asked, 'And what do you have to
declare from your waist to the floor?'
'I have a marvelous instrument designed to be used on a woman, but which
is, to date, unused.'
Roaring with laughter, the official said, 'Go ahead, Father.
Next please!'

Think and use your brain daily.

Take as a gift whatever the day brings forth. . .”
Horace (65-8); Roman Lyric Poet.

Can you believe that in 65BC - people knew part of the answer of life?   Never forget to put Christ first though.

The hair dryer and the priest...too funny!

I don't have a dog, but I can relate. The kitties think they should have whatever we're having to eat. No matter what it is or when!

Beaches, the dryer story, and all your laughs each time I see your page. I know I am up to be reading humor from Chatty Crone. Glad you LOVE the LOVE photo. What is not to LOVE about love. Some people have love in their life and some don't, so I thought I should share at least the word.

Thanks for the smiles, my friend!

I hadn't had a good belly laugh today but I did when I read your joke today. I've been stretching with the cartoons my 2 year old grandson watched this morning. They actually do exercises every so often and today we exercised like a skier. He's down for a nap now and daughter should be dropping off the 4 month old soon. Busy day here. But a happy one. Hope your Tuesday is terrific!

Laughing at that marvelous instrument.

Good one. I am sure most everyone has tap danced around the truth at some time in their lives, EXCEPT SHERRY, she cannot, it is impossible.

But the dogs? yeah, nothing says love like a dog, they do not mind taking the back seat, because they know, eventually they will get the front seat!

Love ya!

That poor dog needs a bigger cushion!

I'll take the pumpkin bread!

My cat Sophie used to want anything I was eating that smelled sweet. Cheesecake was her favorite, so I would let her lick the "taste" off the plate. :)

both our dogs want and get any and everything we eat. not chocolate but most things. dogs can be trained to not beg or not eat people food by not giving it to them. but we always have

Ha ha! Good ones, Sandie! And wow, you were quite the little homemaker yesterday, weren't you? I love those kinds of days, too, but they don't happen very often! I used to always refer to that as Suzie Homemaker, too, until my grown nieces called me Miss Becky Home-ecky!

Southhamsdarling said...

Hi Chatty friend! Your new look blog is wonderful! Love it! That did make me smile when you said you were playing Suzie Homemaker. I've never heard that one before! I've been doing the same myself, making fresh tomato soup and pasta sauce! Always a pleasure to visit you and read your posts. Hugs.

Ummmm. Yummy breads. I think the Fall season brings out Susie Homemaker. I have been cooking and baking too. E hair dryer story was fun-nee!!! Cute dogs, too.

Duke is like that, wanting whatever we have. He won't even touch the food in his bowl until he finds out whether or not he's going to get something from the table

renae said...

hahahaha. ya he really didn't lie, in fact what he said was very believable. Nice that you shared that.

My dog sleeps like that. Her but will be on the pillow and her head on the floor. crazy dogs!!!!!

Love the dog picture of the dogs sleeping in beds that don't fit.

Jocelyn said...

I looove banana bread!! I've never had pumpkin bread. Is that as delicious?

Jim said...

Your banana bread sounds like it was a good idea, Sandie. I liked your transition into the dog tales. Amber (cat) used to sleep on Adi's bed. Then Adi would sleep on Katrin's small bed. And Katrin would sleep on the floor. That was or house before Adi died.

Your priest was a very good liar. LOL.

Dear Sandie,
It is the time of year for baking. I bet the bread were great! The house must have smelled delicious!

I enjoyed the pictures and the story.
You are so right laughter each day will keep the doctor away. It is important to find humor in our lives.
Blessings dearest. Catherine xo

P.S...It certainly is o.k. to use ground beef with the rice dish. I just happened to have pork on hand.

Our pups have decided that they like lettuce. Yeah, either there is something seriously wrong with them or something seriously wrong with us for not feeding them enough of the right stuff.

Way to go on the baking! I've been seeing so many Fall recipes on Pinterest but haven't felt like it yet. Did you know that I taught Skye how to stretch on command? I was going to do a video but never did. Guess what I did today....I accidently hit "mark all as read" so now I'm trying to figure out who I didn't get to yesterday and today. Have a nice evening.
