Fun Friday with a little help from my friends.

Don't forget it is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

 Photobucket

ON A SERIOUS NOTE - seriously - the last school year - those of you that have been (stuck) with me - prayed like heck for my grandson to get into the 'right' private school.  We have a Christian school 1 mile from us.  Did we apply there? No.  We applied to three other schools far away who turned us down.  Then we went to this Christian school.  Grandson was accepted.  So I am thinking this is going to be an easy school.

WRONG!  He has had about 4 hours of homework a night.  Now I have to admit it is down to about 2 hours now that he knows what he is doing.  He is learning how to do it.  And he is getting the best education.  And he is LOVING it!  He was so sad all summer.  There are 37 in a classroom at the public school here.  He has 12 in his class and there are two classes.  And he has made the best friends.

So I want to thank all of you who prayed for us.  THANK YOU!  Today is the last day of the 1st quarter.  He only received two C's in spelling and writing and I was happy with that.  The rest all A's and B's!!! And he is getting a Christian education.  I just can't thank y'all and GOD enough.

And I love honey!  Thanks again.

          HI- TECH LIE DETECTOR
A father buys a lie detector robot that slaps you when you lie.
He decides to test it out on his son at supper. "Where were you last night?"
"I was at the library." ... The robot slaps the son.
"OK I was at a friend's house," the son admits.
Doing what?" asked the father "Watching a movie: Toy Story."
The robot slaps the son. "OK, it was porn!" cried the son.
Father yells "What? When I was your age I didn't know what porn
was!"
The robot slaps the father.
The mother laughs and says, "He's certainly your son!"
The robot slaps the mother !!!

Apology Letter To Spouse - PRICELESS!
Hi Sweetheart,

I am sorry about getting into an argument about putting up the Christmas lights.  I guess that sometimes I feel like you are pushing me too hard when you want something.  I realize that I was wrong and I am apologizing for being such a hard-headed guy.  All I want is for you to be happy and be able to enjoy the holiday season.  Nothing brightens the Christmas spirit like Christmas lights!  I took the time to hang the lights for you today; and now I will be off to the hockey rink.

Again, I am very sorry for the way I acted yesterday.  I'll be home later.

Love you……

 Thank you Sharon.

MISINTERPRETATION...

I was in a pub last Saturday night, and drank a few, and noticed two very large women by the bar. They both had pretty strong accents, so I asked, "Hey, are you two ladies from Ireland ?"

One of them chirped saying, "It's WALES , you friggin' idiot!"

So, I immediately apologized and said, "I'm sorry. Are you two whales from Ireland ?"

That's pretty much the last thing I remember...

Thank you Debby at Just Breathe

So remember breast cancer awareness month.

Sandie, so happy GS is doing well at his new school. Such a relief and how great he has some good friends there too! A child spends a lot of time at school while growing up, how awful it would be if it was not a good experience. He's lucky to have you working so hard to ensure his happiness. Ann

Oh Sandie, those funnies did make me smile today, especially the first one about the lies! I'm so pleased that your grandson is happy at his school and making new friends. I can't believe how few of them are in his class. Eli started school in September and there are 38 in the class! Far too many!

I am so glad that he is doing really good in school! I hate it thought that he has that much homework! Homework is crazy! I understand studying spelling words and possibly reading a story from the reading book once a week but nothing more than that. My kids get up before the rooster crows and they get home almost when that rooster is going to bed. They need time to just be kids and spend time with family.

Sandie,

Isn't it Shiloh Hills Christian School?

Katie went to Eastside Baptist Christian School til the 8th grade and then a year or two at North Cobb Christian. Then she wanted and begged to go to public school and I caved in. Big mistake.

All the best,

charlotte

OK, I said I wouldn't comment on another post but here I am. I am SO HAPPY and so PROUD of him!! I remembered that spelling and specifically writing were his challenge subjects so that makes this even better news because he's not failing in them, he's actually learning! Woohooo and praise the One who did it all!
