President VS King, King Wins

Believe you me I have a definite candidate I'm voting for, but win or lose, I will also try to remember the BIGGER  picture!

I pray for peace for this country! I pray for the country to stay strong and Christian.  I pray for the future for our kids.

Have a blessed Sunday.

Oh I want our Beloved Country to be strong. I have the Preamble To The Constitution on my blog, under my Header. And ask the question: "Will your vote, preserve, protect and defend, The Constitution of the United States of America?"

So I think you can figure, for whom I am going to Vote.

And I can say and do these things, even though I do not follow any Religion.

It is sad, that some people feel we have to agree on everything, in order to come together on certain important things. But see, my holding with no Religion, does not stop me from being a Conservative! In other words, please accept that everyone doesn't have to be a Christian, to be a down-to-earth good citizen.

Amen! Billy Graham sent out something that said this was a very important election to vote in(they are all but I do believe this is a defining one indeed). He was struck with the thought this potentially could be the last one he votes in as he will be 94 his next birthday. But he did say for people to consider voting biblically on key issues especially and regarding sanctity of life and sanctity of marriage. I'm voting biblically and praying, praying, praying.

Hi Sandie....
Hope your weekend is going splendidly.

You are right that Jesus is King, always. That's a good thing to remind ourselves of, regardless of who gets into the White House on Tuesday. Susan

Amen! Total agreement!

Despite all of the hoopla, this country has never been necessarily "Christian," but there have been times when the pretense was more evident than others.

Amen, Sandie... I totally agree. Our country is in a mess --and we need to get back to what our constitution says and what our forefathers intended for this country.

Hugs,
Betsy

We have our King in Jesus Christ. I just pray that people will turn to Him before it is too late.

I agree with those sentiments. No matter who is president, we need to keep faith that we do have a KING that will guide us and protect us. Our country was founded under Christian principals so that all can worship as they please without persecution. We are so blessed, there are many who do not have this privilege.

Amen! Yes, Amen to your entry. This will be the most crucial vote I will be involved in too. Our country is in dire need of 'real' change, not an empty promise. We are in deep trouble and prayers are rampant for recovery. Our King in heaven will help our country survive. Nuff Said

We need to move forward...not backwards for our future generations.

I purposely waited to vote due to wanting all the latest facts. Glad I did.

Well said. Great to remember this always. Our pastor says this to us all the time. We can't place our trust in any one person/president, our trust needs to be in God alone.

I am so grateful to be able to vote and never take that fact for granted.

Thank you for all your kind words of support for the Hurricane Sandy victims. I have been voluteering at a temporary shelter in Brooklyn the past few days for the people that lost their homes. It is wonderful to see how many people are helping and donating goods that are needed!

Starting Over, Accepting Changes - Maybe said...

I feel like that little girl who cried because she was sick of hearing about the election. We all have reasons to vote for the people we believe in and it seems 50% believe one way and the other 50%, another. I do know that many of our first settlers came to this country to get away from religious persecution because they chose to go to a different church. This is a country of diversity and a place where all religions and those with no religions should all be respected and tolerated.

Looking forward to Wednesday when all this will be over. At this point, I am thinking we should consider going back to a monarchy so we won't have to go through this horror show where billions are spent to help no one except the powers that be.

Yes, I love the meaning of this post, it is so very true..I always think of the saying WWJD(what would Jesus do).

I hope whoever wins our election has some actual change and not just words. I know that our current presidents policies have hurt us badly as senior citizens...I will just be glad when its over with!

AMEN - preach it sister! :)

I'm back again because I have been thinking about a comment or two that I read after posting my AMEN.

Whether or not this nation is or has been a Christian nation isn't the point. The point is that Jesus is Lord and the ultimate King of Kings and all creation. That's what I believe you were saying.

Anyway, Amen again. In my head, I sound like Sidney Poitier.

Yep. I need to hold onto this, b/c Obama just got re-elected. I pray the Republicans will humble themselves and give a little, so we don't waste another 4 years.

Hi Sandie, Well the election is over, and I am sure glad we only voted for a president, not a Savior. The Savior of the world is Jesus, not any person we can vote into an office. And thank God for that! That being said, it is still our responsibilty to vote our values - and I hope everyone did!
