Fun Friday with a little help from my friends.

GOOD MORNING MY FRIDAY FUN FRIENDS!

“Laughter is the fireworks of the soul.”
Josh Billings (1818-1885)
Something I'd like to clear up.  Many thought those red pandas were raccoons.  I had no idea.  My friend Mommy Dearest looked it up and sure enough there are red pandas!  Thanks MD.

In a convent in Ireland , the 98-year-old Mother Superior lay dying.
The nuns gathered around her bed trying to make her last journey comfortable.
They tried giving her warm milk to drink but she refused it.
One of the nuns took the glass back to the kitchen.
Then, remembering a bottle of Irish Whiskey that had been received as a gift the previousChristmas, she opened it and poured a generous amount into the warm milk.

Back at Mother Superior's bed, they held the glass to her lips.
The frail nun drank a little, then a little more and before they knew it, she had finished the whole glass down to the last drop.

As her eyes brightened, the nuns thought it would be a good opportunity to have one last talk with their spiritual leader..

"Mother," the nuns asked earnestly, "Please give us some of your wisdom before you leave us."

She raised herself up in bed on one elbow, looked at them and said: ""DON'T SELL THAT COW."

(Thank you Sharon.)   This is for my friend Sister Ann - hope you liked it.

Ed and his wife Norma go to the state fair every year,
And every year Ed would say, " Norma, I'd like to ride in that helicopter "
Norma always replied, " I know Ed , but that helicopter ride is fifty bucks, And fifty bucks is fifty bucks! "
One year Ed and Norma went to the fair, and Ed said, " Norma, I'm 75 years old.
If I don't ride that helicopter, I might never get another chance"
To this, Norma replied, " Ed, that helicopter ride is fifty bucks, and fifty bucks is fifty bucks"
The pilot overheard the couple and said,
" Folks I'll make you a deal. I'll take the both of you for a ride. If you can stay quiet for the entire ride and don't say a word I won't charge you a penny!
But if you say one word it's fifty dollars."

Ed and Norma agreed and up they went.
The pilot did all kinds of fancy maneuvers, but not a word was heard.
He did his daredevil tricks over and over again,
But still not a word...
When they landed, the pilot turned to Ed and said,
" By golly, I did everything I could to get you to yell out, but you didn't.   I'm impressed! "
Ed replied,
" Well, to tell you the truth I almost said something when Norma fell out, but you know, Fifty bucks is fifty bucks! "

 (Thank you Fran.)

And my hubs just might do that to me!

Two little old ladies, Doris and Jackie, were sitting on a park bench outside the local town hall where a flower show was in progress. The short one, Jackie, leaned over and said, 'Life is so boring We never have any fun any more.  For $10, I'd take my clothes off and streak through that stupid, boring flower show!'

'You're on!' said Doris, holding up a $10 bill.

So Jackie slowly fumbled her way out of her clothes and, completely naked, streaked (as fast as an old lady can) through the front door of the flower show.  Waiting outside, her friend soon heard a huge commotion inside the hall, followed by loud applause and shrill whistling.  Finally, the smiling Jackie came through the exit door surrounded by a cheering, clapping crowd.

'What happened?' asked her waiting friend.

'I won $1,000 as 1st prize for 'Best Dried Arrangement .... !'

Life is short!  Break the rules!
(Thank you Jenn at Three Graces)

Oh, I fell for all those little tricks, but it was a lot of fun. Thanks for this. I won't have time to come by every day as my new computer just arrived and I have to deal with a gazillion files in my old one for the next -- however long that will take. I love the thought though.
