Thursday's Thoughts.

Well it is Thursday so I am on the right day now - but life has sure changed. It has to go on - but it goes on a bit different - at least for me. I am a GREAT advocate against abuse to children.

We must or I must never forget to believe.

Aren't these cute little Santa's?

Now we are warm here in Georgia - while we never get snow - we usually have some cooler weather.  Now I have heard so many people wanting snow - I thought I could help them with some pictures.

Does this get you feeling colder?

What about this train?  Brrrrrrr!

Now isn't this just exquisite?

Hey - give me five!

Mommies always takes care of us.

Isn't that an awesome picture?
'

Now, none of the above are mine - all are borrowed - but whoever it was is an awesome photographer!

Now here is something I thought was so cool.  It is my friend's blog - Blondees Diary

"Our children are supposed to grow up and change the world for the better, and our teachers show them how to make those changes. To honor the memory of Charlotte Bacon, Daniel Barden, Rachel Davino, Olivia Engel, Josephine Gay, Ana Marquez-Greene, Dylan Hockley, Dawn Hochsprung, Madeleine F. Hsu, Catherine V. Hubbard, Chase Kowalski, Jesse Lewis, James Mattioli, Grace McDonnell, Anne Marie Murphy, Emilie Parker, Jack Pinto, Noah Pozner, Caroline Previdi, Jessica Rekos, Avielle Richman, Lauren Rousseau, Mary Sherlach, Victoria Soto, Benjamin Wheeler and Allison Wyatt I have asked the boy and the girly to do 26 acts of kindness, and I will do the same. These children and teachers may have been taken from the world, but I want them to still have the chance to change the world for the better. If we all do 26 acts of kindess in their memory, they are changing our world for the better. Please feel free to take on this challenge. ♥"

I'm going to join Blondee and do 26 random acts of kindness - if you feel like doing it - join us.  It is just going to be something between me, myself, and I.

Carry on, Dear One.

You have your own Dear 'Grand' to make happy. And to help him enjoy this beautiful Season. And this just has to bring Joy to you too. :-)

Spreading Joy, to counteract the Darkness of the World. A win/win situation.

Gentle hugs...

I just keep wanting to treat everyone with a bit more kindness and gentleness.

The snow pictures are perfect -- getting ready for our first snowfall later today. Yay! Prediction is for 4-6 inches, which, if it stays cold enough, should be enough to provide us with a white Christmas this year!

That last picture and your thought for the day really grabbed my heart.

Hi Sandie. What a lovely thought to do those little acts of kindness in memory of all those who perished last Friday. Loved all your snowy pics for us today. Strangely enough, there was a programme here on the television last evening about those snow monkeys and their little babies.

I really like this idea of 26 acts of kindness. Not that is something everyone can do! And should.

We don't have snow here in the UK just rain. It's misty, dark and damp but at least I can drive my car without sliding around on ice!

Hi Sandie, I love love love that snow photo with the train... It reminds me of an area in West VA where we were standing at an overlook and the train passed by below us... BUT--it wasn't snowing then...

We're on the road to Tullahoma today to celebrate Christmas with Dad Adams. It's rainy and VERY windy... Before we left home, the wind was destroying our outside Christmas Decorations... YIPES...

They say we may get some snow tonight/tomorrow....???????

Hugs,
Betsy

We have snow and yesterday it got down to 19 degrees F so I have plenty to gaze at here but I'm leaving for California to spend Christmas with my grandchildren and family. No snow there but that is okay; family is better.

Cute pictures! I'm not ready for snow, but I know it is on the way!

I love the snow as long as I don't have to shovel and living in Florida, I no longer have those problems! LOL

But, I still travel up north to visit family and I do like to see the snow.

Hi Sandie...Love all the pictures, especially the swans.

I think it's good to do random acts of kindness, behind the scenes of course, with no one else knowing.

Take care and have a good Thursday. Susan

I love that challenge!! I also love that last little quote about the door to happiness.

It's true.

The photos are wonderful. My favorite is the one with the swans. I DO remember a white Christmas here in south Georgia. It was 1989. I remember because my older daughter was born that year, and I was wayyyyyyy behind in Christmas. And then... it snowed. Ack! We don't meander about too well here in the snow.

I did my act of kindness today. Had my DIL show up with 2 babes for me to watch while she had a doctors appointment. I was being lazy and was still in pj's didn't know they were coming...my son forgot to call. Well every day is a good day to be kind and I try not to miss a chance at that one. Here I am still in pj's ...have to dress now an get on with cleaning house. Tomorrow I cook, and Sat. is our family celebration. Praying for all affected by the tragedy. It has hit many far and wide. Not just the ones there. May the dear Lord heal our broken world.

It's feeling a bit chilly to me today. Yes - we can always treat each other with more kindness.

Beth said...

Yes, show a little kindness as often as we can.

The photos are exquisite! I like the first few and the swans best. Good idea about the good deeds, it shouldn't take that for us to be kind.

I love to look at the snow, which is rare around here, it's the driving in it that causes problems. I can't imagine having to deal with it on a regular basis.

I did take on Blondee's challenge; a great one indeed!

Too cute with the polar bear picture! loved all the other ones too!

Hi again, Sandie! My post of the 1950's Christmas tree in the kitchen. I was there and took the pictures myself...honest! I always say if the pictures are not taken by me.

I love all the snowy pictures but I would prefer not to have any here.
That is the nicest challenge I have ever heard. Very touching.
I also LOVE your thought for the day.

We had wind chills of 18 degrees today compared to 60 yesterday. I guess a lot of people will have a white Christmas this year. The pictures sure do make me wish there will be snow on Christmas.

I so glad to see the names of those who needlessly lost their life.I love the challenge.

What a wonderful thing to do! 26 acts of kindness.....If we all do that, think what a tribute that will be!

God bless you and your family! :)

I love that photo of the polar bear. No snow here yet this winter. It looks like no white Christmas for us.

We had our big "snow storm" Wednesday. I rushed to get the vehicles in the barn, fed the cats and filled the chicken feeder. Lastly I brushed away the three snowflakes that fell before the sun came out.

I will try for the 26 acts of kindness.
