Tuesdays Tails. . .

Okay grandma said to tell you that she had a busy weekend.  My boy was confirmed in the church and my uncle came in from Ohio to be there.  So she is kind of behind - as usual.

Speaking of my uncle - now what is an uncle?  I found out he is someone I think I should not bark at.  I don't get it.  I thought my job was to bark at strangers that entered the house.  They kept saying the No, No, NO - DON'T BARK - whatever that means. I just knew they weren't to happy with me.

I just knew he didn't really belong there and I was trying to warn them there was a stranger in the house.  I was so tired after two days  of being on constant alert I had to just give a low growl when he walked by.  To tell the truth - he did rub my tummy so I didn't bite him even thought he didn't know that - hee-hee.  I'm rotten.

Now grandma wanted to show off so I have to share this post.  She made this - with my help of course - for her 2 year grandson that lives with this uncle guy.

I thought she made this UGA blanket for me - but she made it for my boy.  Which is okay because he shares with me.  It is UGA on one side and dog prints on the other - maybe that is my side?

No, old granny wouldn't leave me out now would she?  Wink Wink.

TOLD YAH!  I'M SPOILED!  I think it is because I barked and watched the house so good last weekend that she was rewarding me!

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:

PS - Grandma is having a little trouble with her emails - she is sending one out and then it comes back as unable to deliver - She is writing back!

It's always good to see the doggy side of things. So glad you didn't bite your uncle and tell grandma that she does wonderful work. I like to think that there is time for everything that we want to do and it looks like she makes time for her precious people there. Hope you all have a terrific Tuesday!

Disco, you are sweet and not spoiled at all. :-)

My son and his new wife moved in with us and brought their big lab/beagle (just until they can close on their house). We have two JR's and a cat. Everybody barks, everybody runs, everybody chases when somebody runs - then the grandson comes over and he is the only smart one. He learned to crawl with his head down so he won't get licked in the face. How calm my life would be without the four legged friends. :)

I agree with Shelly, you are loved...not spoiled. And by "dog rights" you should have your very own blanket...after all, you do protect the house. Love ya Disco.

Sweet photos! And I love the poster, 'Pick Your Battles' :-D

Spoiled means giving in or rewarding you when you're naughty; being kind to you doesn't mean you're being spoiled. Same applies to kids.

Disco is a good dog. I know she really does like that blanket with Mickey's picture.

She could write in her own Blogger Name. Adi had her own but got too bad with Arthritis before I got her started good. She wrote her own meme (linked on the side bar of my blog--her profile is ther too)

Disco--you really are spoiled. Tell Mom that I love the blanket --except that it should be the Tennessee Volunteers instead of the Georgia Bulldogs.... ha ha

Glad your 'uncle' came home for the weekend. It was a GREAT day for Grandson. Congrats to him.

Hugs,
Betsy

Congratulations to your grandson on his confirmation! And a pat for that cute dog for me--even though I'm afraid of dogs!

Hi Disco! Cute little story today. Thank you. Last week I wrote to Grandma when I should have been writing to you. Sorry about that!

I love your new blanket and my dog Duchess does the same thing when my 'family' comes to my house. If she doesn't know them then she barks and barks until I say "no no bark, they are our friends!" She understands "friends" and she also understands NO, cuz if she doesn't she gets a spank on the behind!!! youch! huh?

It was so good see "see" you today, Disco!

My Mom was having the same problem with her computer. I ended up changing her e-mail password. It seemed to help. From what I have read it is all part of a virus that is going around. Check your sent messages too. You may find that your computer has been sending messages that appear to be from you to everyone in your contact list. If you need more help, let me know. I have a few other things you may have to do to fix the problem. Hope this helps! :)

Oh yea, I love the blankets and the dog of course!! Nothing wrong with spoiling them!!

Oh Disco - you always bring a smile to my face. I don't blame you for barking at this *uncle* guy. It's good to have a watch dog around the house...(This is Marty: "Good job, buddy. I just lick people to death!"

Love that blanket. Your grandma is one talented lady. (Don't tell her, though - it might go to her head).

Congrats to your boy and his confirmation - very excited about that.

xo

(p.s. Could you ask Grandma if I could copy that picture and saying with the dogprint on it - at the beginning of your post? I love that, and would like to add it to my sidebar).

I'm so happy for you and your grandson with his confirmation. It's such a special and important time, and I'm so glad your son got to come for it too, no matter what Sir Disco Dog had to say about it.

And I really love the blankets. I have wanted to make one like that for the longest time. I guess I'll finally get around to trying when I have a grandchild of my own.

Disco, you are indeed spoiled, and that's a good thing, I think. The blankets are beautiful!

Nonnie said...

Disco, I think you probably deserve to be spoiled. I bet the confirmation was one proud moment for grandma. Trudy

I have been thinking of making one of those blankets. Those are so nice. Great job!! I saw yesterday that there are even kits for those now. Maybe I could actually do one.

Hey Disco. Good to hear from you. Now you'd think that family woulda told you the native son was coming home for a visit.

You shouldn't be barking at him. Especially cuz he's a doctor and needs a few moments of peace when he goes home to visit.

Glad you got a blankie of your own.

Tell Sandie I think she did a great job on the Mickey blanket. Now that's something I could NEVER do.

Be nice to the kid. You know who I mean. The GS. You're so lucky to live there, Disco. No kidding. You got it good, pup. Those folks love you to the moon and back and I know that you know it.

Take care. Susan

Awesome job Disco and wow those blankets are super neat!

I understand about the barking problem. Please don't feel awkward. Mollipop has the same problem too.

She barks at everyone trying to protect us. It's been a hard lesson for her to learn who to bark at and who not to bark at also!

Happy week Disco...hugs for all!

Your grandma did a fantastic job on the blankets! Both grandsons will get some great use out of those. I've made a few for my kids and they love them as well. Congratulations to your boy!

Oh Disco, no wonder you’re confused when we humans keep changing the rules! If you’re like my Caraleigh, I know you take this protection detail seriously. Don’t let your Grandparents forget to give you your paycheck (treat) everyday; we know you don’t guard the premises for free! J

PS – These quilts are wonderful. (Does your Grandma ever sleep?)

Sandie,
Congratulations on your grandson's confirmation. A beautiful step in a young man's life.
Disco Dog is awesome...he came to the right family. I can remember when you first brought him home.
I love your blankets...they look so very cozy and warm...how did you make it....
Thanks for stopping by to see me. I have very few visitors any more but then I was gone for 11 months..
I love the poster pick your battles.
I didn't know when I did my post this morning that Charlie, Diana's brother died...I mean it was one week from the time they diagnosed him until he died.

Those blankets came out so cute. I love the Mickey one, where did you find that? Little Miss Skye is not a barker unless she sees some animal outside. Hope your having a nice day. xoxo

I'm a little slow...I didn't know what UGA was and then I figured it out. Geesh...and I lived in Athens at one time. That last picture reminded me of my house except my dog prefers the cat bed for some reason and she's much too big for it. Congratulations on the Confirmation. Glad the Uncle didn't get bitten.
