Saturday TIdbits

Some interesting tidbits to help you thru - remember these are just forwards - be sure and check it out for yourself.

Enjoy - read what interests you and forget about the rest.

I do believe this is true - our bees are disappearing and so are our crops.

It is too late to set your clocks back - but did you change and check your batteries in your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors?

I think that is kind of a good idea.

Do you want to find out if real peanut butter is better then reduced fat peanut butter?

Another story about Chinese Products - this will reach your heart for sure.  GOOD ONE!

Look at this woman's poor feet - be careful of the shoes you wear.

Lots of good tidbits here! I'm still so annoyed with google. I'm about to ban all their products from my life if possible. Grrrr. Hope you have a terrific weekend!

I'm mostly known as 'MA' said...

I like the pretty pink look you have decorated your blog with. The quote by Audrey Hepburn is a very good one! Hope you have a super Saturday!

Great post, happy Saturday to you. I love the "springy" look at your blog. Am enjoying a long weekend here.

Interesting post, Sandie. And as far as Google Reader alternatives, I'm still trying to figure out switching to Google+ for my blog. No fun.

Have a wonderful weekend.♥

Love the tulips!

That Einstein quote is very eye-opening. As far as the Google Reader thing - I admit to not knowing at all how this affects blogger. When we log into Blogger and see all of our blogs on the left - will that just disappear now?

Lots of good things to ponder today Sandie.

Have a wonderful day!

i think peanuts and nuts in general (if you're not allergic to them) are healthy fats. :) i eat lots of them.

I love your background! Audry Hepburn really was a classy lady. I like that quote.

What an eye opener that story from China is, and how terribly sad. Attempting to buy some inexpensive items (plastic Easter eggs for example) or just looking at most labels in dollar stores and discount racks shows you how much is coming from China. I'm not trash talking the stores. We're in a mess here trying to stretch our own budgets. I try to make better choices but don't always succeed.

MunirGhiasuddin said...

Your blog looks very pretty!
I am worried about proper shoes all the time, as I am diabetic. I feel bad for the lady, I hope that no body lets that happen to themselves.
I hope that you are doing good. Cheers!

I really like the verse by Audrey Hepburn...just class...she was..!

The China article is so upsetting!

I love pink and I love your header and your blog...so nice for this time of year. Good job, Miss Chatty

I like the child molester idea. A lot.

The last one is spot on too.

Have a terrific day. :)

Susan said...

Oh gosh, Sandie. There was lots of food for thought in that posting.

I'm so sad for the workers in China, especially the children.

But would refusing to buy products made in China HURT rather than HELP the people there?

Take care and have a good Saturday! Susan

The child molester thing- spot on!!!

Interesting about the bees. As always you post the nicest entries.

This is full of good info. Especiallyt he alternates to Google reader that I did not know was shutting down. Thinking I will go with 'Factly'. One of the four will win out I guess, I don't think all of them will survive. It is probablly a gamble. I will be waiting to see which most of my friends go with.
((HUGS)) from down here.
PS: Einstein is probably right. INteresting.

Betsy Banks Adams said...

Great post and lots of good info, Sandie. Interesting about the peanut butter. I've never eaten reduced-fat peanut butter --but eat reduced-fat in other things...

LOVE LOVE LOVE your Easter blog look. The eggs are gorgeous... WOW!!!

Hugs,
Betsy

Interesting info you have out out there. The story about the Chinese is very upsetting. I have tried to avoid purchasing things Made in China, but that doesn't really help those poor people, does it?
I confess my ignorance about Google Reader and read a few of the articles. I'm still not sure how that will affect my blog because I'm not that savvy with blogging.
Your cover photo is beautiful.

The quote by Einstein is really scary.

That woman is from China where they used to do foot binding all of the time. It was so awful! I read a series of books about this. Snow Flower and the Secret Fan was the first.

I totally agree about testing products on molesters! Wouldn't that be great....but oh, the outcry from those who think it would violate their rights!

I agree with the lab testing 100%!

I have heard that about the bees; kinda of scary isn't it?

Betty said...

At one time didn't Chinese women bind their feet to make them smaller? It's even worse than women in this country wearing 4 inch heels.

I can think of more besides child molesters. How about giving people on death row an alternative to the death penalty? They can volunteer to be human lab rats instead.

Good Morning Sandie
and Greetings from Ireland

I just wanted to pop by and wish you
a very Happy St. Patrick's Day.

May you always have
Walls for the winds,
A roof for the rain,
Tea beside the fire,
Laughter to cheer you,
Those you love near you,
And all your heart might desire!

I like the use of child molesters for guinea pigs. That Chinese lady has suffered from foot binding. The poor thing, how sad. xx

Great stuff today! I love the quote from Audrey Hepburn. It is awful about the bees and I'm going to look up the peanut butter. I don't buy any low-fat foods. I tried them, and they are horrible.

Nice post stuff, Sandie. I should e-mail the first saying about bees to our Texas Senator as he voted against the feds spending any money to help this cause. The appropriation failed.

Amen to the last one about what one puts up with.
Child molestors as guinea pigs - YES to that one too.
The foot one made me sick, but I heard that is what happened because many from that culture wrapped their feet? not sure if that is true, looks like it though.

Happy Monday
