Monday's Fragments

And yes it was ridiculously cold!

I spent the day floating around the hootch.

Love, Chatty

Love, Disco

THE LAUGH:

Know anybody you'd like to do this too?  Thanks Angela.

THE LIFT:

Twin girls, Brielle and Kyrie, were born 12 weeks ahead of their due date. Needing intensive care, they were placed in separate incubators.

Kyrie began to gain weight and her health stabilized. But Brielle, born only 2 lbs, had trouble breathing, heart problems and other complications. She was not expected to live.

Their nurse did everything she could to make Brielle's health better, but nothing she did was helping her. With nothing else to do, their nurse went against hospital policy and decided to place both babies in the same incubator.

She left the twin girls to sleep and when she returned she found a sight she could not believe. She called all the nurses and doctors and this is what they saw.

As Brielle got closer to her sister, Kyrie put her little arm around her, as if to hug and support her sister. From that moment on, Brielle's breathing and heart rate stabilized and her health became normal.

Share the pic to show the world how a little bit of tender love and affection can save someone's life.
 Thank you Monica

I have tears in my eyes with that baby shot. Are they not the sweetest? I adore babies, and those two just melt your heart.

Let's see, we bought new plants in the broiling noonday sun without our hats on (not smart), we planted plants with our hats on (much smarter), I blogged, Mr. Magpie read and watched "The Simpsons", I listened to a teaching on "the Lord and miracles", I went to a birthday party, and basically kicked back from the stress of the week. Sounds like you had fun, but I'm sorry your feet are hurting. Does Disco try to swan-dive out of the window if it's down? I saw a dog do that in St. Augustine, and thankfully we were cautious because we could have hit him since he did it as the car in front of us started to move. Scary.

Hope you have a good week. I tried to email you last night regarding Terri's correct address, etc.

XO,

Sheila

Floating around in the water sounds like a great way to spend the day. Here I did a little flower planting and enjoyed some beautiful weather. Sunday I had the kids that live here in town over for dinner. It was a beautiful but fast weekend. Today I intend to do a little porch sitting and enjoy the sunshine. I'm a little sore from the weekend and rest is on the menu.

You were a busy girl, but it all sounds fun. I would have loved floating at the water park.
Those babies are sweet as can be.

That picture is so sweet of the twins....aw.

I would have been just like you and floated around on that tube. You'll have to give me a list of water parks and fun things to do so when granddaughter comes I have something to do with her.

I keep a file of "Amazing picutures" and believe it or not that rooster picture made the grade...it just warmed my heart. You and your friends do come up with some great things.

The story of the twins was worth the time in Gold, it took to read it. Somethings along with a picture just make you smile, and make life BETTER!
THANKS for a really bright spot on this Monday morning.

You did have a busy time! I used to could shop all day, but now I take my mom and we last about an hour or so and then we are both worn out.

Sandee said...

You had a busy weekend indeed. So did I. We had a BBQ for one of our yacht clubs and I worked it all weekend. I'm tired too and my feet and back hurt. Bugger.

Love the laugh and yes I can think of a couple of people I'd like to do that to.

The lift is spot on. I truly believe that the nurse did exactly what needed doing. Awesome.

Have a terrific day honey. Big hugs. :)

I love love love the twins picture!! That is just precious beyond words to me.

Sounds like you had a tiring but fun weekend! I am positive your GS will ace the Bible final. I hope he had a wonderful year. I know after all his hard work, he is really looking forward to summer.

I have finally gotten old enough to NOT want to go to Six Flags any more. I used to love it though and you brought back sweet memories. Hope you have a good Monday.

Awe, the babies are so sweet !
Feet are hurting? Have you tried Cobbie Cuddlers? They look like pumps, but are as comfortable as sneakers. We were allowed to wear sneakers in my vendor audit job, but with my customer service job, Cobbie Cudlers are a life saver. Even I Love Comfort or I heart Comfort from Sears are pretty comfy.

Oh my goodness---that last picture almost made me cry. What a sweet photo... Hope both babies made it!

Sounds like you had a very very busy weekend. I used to love to float around on a mat or tube... BUT--I'd want to do it when the sun was very hot!!!!!

Hope your grandson does well on his finals this week.

Hugs,
Betsy

I LOVE your pictures! Well, what I get from this post is that everything you do hurts!!! ME TOO. BUT here's the most important part, that we can still do it and we keep doing it!!!! ADORE the boy and dog pic, Disco and his boy rule!

Oh Sandie, THANK YOU for that wonderful "lift"! Oh how sweet!!!! Baby love and Adult love are no different. That brought tears to my eyes. I hope you get to rest your feet today!!! I can't shop like that anymore. I am a stroller or should be in one. When I go to Disneyland I rent a motorized cart. I don't need it but want it! That place is exhausting!!!

GREAT pic of your grandson and Disco. What a beautiful smile your GS has. We spent the weekend with our grandsons and I know they would have loved to go to a water park, but alas, we did not. You make my feet hurt just thinking about all that shopping. Loved that baby story, and it makes perfect sense.

I certainly wasn't as busy as you Sandie -- it rained alot, so I spent time indoors reading and doing some house cleaning. :)

You DID have a busy weekend, girlfriend.

Loved the little sweet babies, loving each other. Amazing.

As you know, we took a day trip to Cooperstown, New York. It was a bus tour and lots of fun (plus tons of walking).

Hope you have a good night, Sandie. Susan

You always share the very best. You know I love your header and that James Dobson quote reminds me of Denise at Shortybear's Place. I often wonder how she deals with all the illness and still remains a strong prayer warrior for the Lord. Made me smile to read those words.
I love this baby story. Sometimes God just has to handle it for us! Love and Hugs Anne

I traveled this weekend. I am home for a while at least. Home Sweet Home for sure.

That just had me in tears, Sandie. Such a beautiful story. I believe we are all born with that instinct to help others, this is surely the proof. Some people keep it, others lose it. Those twins will always look out for each other.

Fun weekend - you made me tired just reading about it! Ann

It was our Canadian Long weekend.

Victoria day!

It was rain and too day way too hot.

That was terrible with the tornadoes that hit all around in U.S.A .

They say it was 45 minutes and it distroyed all T.V shows. Two schools. Worse storm I ever seen to wipe out all those homes.

So my rain was nothing comapred to the disaster.

Your babie pictures made me laugh.

Sounds like you had a busy and fun weekend..... floating on a tube sounds like heaven to me right now. We have a small pool, but the water is still too cool for me. I'm hoping by this weekend, I can get in and splash a bit.

The twins story is so precious.

I feel like hubby and I have crammed more into the last week than the past two months totaled. Sounds like you did that much in a weekend!

Good luck to you grandson and daughter as their school year comes to an end.

What a beautiful story about the twins! Love can save a life, that's for sure. You have sure been busy with fun and exciting things! Good for you. I was still moving things and unpacking this weekend, but it is all good.

Oh my, I sure can't do theme parks or water parks anymore. You have a lot more energy than I do, Sandie!!

Looking forward to our meeting next week!! See you soon!

I'd heard the story of the 2 babies before, so I'm curious as to how they are doing now. Sure hope they're both okay! Wonderful pic of them, just warms your heart!

Have a great week, I'm going to look for Fridays post. I'm behind on my reading. Take care!

Busy weekend is understated. You have more get up and go than me. Hauling the stuff up from the basement for your garage sale would have done it for me. But it sounded like it was worth killing your feet white water sliding and then shopping five stores. :) Disco looks cute enjoying his car ride.
