Fun Friday with a little help from my friends.

 DO YOU HAVE YOURS ON?????????

Ramblings of a Retired Mind . . .

I was thinking about how a status symbol of today is those cell phones that everyone has clipped onto their belt or purse.  I can't afford one. So, I'm wearing my garage door opener.

I also made a cover for my hearing aid and now I have what they call blue teeth, I think.

You know, I spent a fortune on deodorant before I realized that people didn't like me anyway.

I was thinking that women should put pictures of missing husbands on beer cans!

I was thinking about old age and decided that old age is 'when you still have something on the ball, but you are just too tired to bounce it.'

I thought about making a fitness movie for folks my age, and call it 'Pumping Rust'.

I've gotten that dreaded furniture disease. That's when your chest is falling into your drawers!

When people see a cat's litter box, they always say, 'Oh, have you got a cat?'

Just once I want to say, 'No, it's for company!'

Employment application blanks always ask who is to be notified in case of an emergency. I think you should write, 'A Good Doctor'!

I was thinking about how people seem to read the Bible a whole lot more as they get older. Then, it dawned on me. They were cramming for their finals.

As for me, I'm just hoping God grades on the curve.

Enjoy Your Days; Love Your Life,

Because Life is a journey to be savored.

Some Interesting Thoughts:

Birds of a feather flock together . . . .and then Poop on your car.

A penny saved is a government oversight.

The older you get, the tougher it is to lose weight, because by then your body and your fat have gotten to be really good friends.

The easiest way to find something lost around the house is to buy a replacement.

He who hesitates is probably right.

Did you ever notice: The Roman Numerals for forty (40) are XL.

If you can smile when things go wrong, you have someone in mind to blame.

The sole purpose of a child's middle name is so he can tell when he's really in trouble..

Did you ever notice: When you put the 2 words 'The' and 'IRS' together it spells 'Theirs...'

Aging: Eventually you will reach a point when you stop lying about your age and start bragging about it.

Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me, I want people to know 'why' I look this way. I've traveled a long way and some of the roads weren't paved.

When you are dissatisfied and would like to go back to your youth, think of Algebra.

You know you are getting old when everything either dries up or leaks.

One of the many things no one tells you about aging is that it is such a nice change from being young. Ah, being young is beautiful, but being old is comfortable.

Lord, Keep your arm around my shoulder and your hand over my mouth . . .. . . . . AMEN

I do thing that dreaded furniture disease has hit here. Gravity does have a way of pulling it all down. Funny how many jokes there are about aging. I laugh at them, but truly it is no joke. But laughing is better than crying. Hope you have a fantastic Friday!

Especially liked:

The sole purpose of a child's middle name is so he can tell when he's really in trouble.

Also smiled at the “Saw it …….. Grandma got it!” So true!!

I am loving the laugh and lift more and more.
Thanks.

What fun!

I can't pick a favorite - I enjoyed it all. However, the secretly evil part of me liked Erica's *payback* - people are indeed so very rude with their phones, aren't they??

Have a great weekend! XO

Hi Sandy ~~ Nice Friday post today. You were doing a lot of thinking, blog said that. I hope it didn't hurt your head!!!! XD

The Aunties were good too. I can identify big time with her rolling out of bed. Broken knee-caps and replacement knee joints really don't help getting up off the floor. Best slide to a door and pull up with help of the door knob.

Oh how I love your Friday posts, Sandie... I laughed at the 'chest falling into the drawers' one... That is me... My boobs (since I lost weight) are horribly saggy.... Not a pretty sight!!!! ha

And --I laughed at the one that said, You know you are old when everything either dries up or leaks... FUNNY!!!

The train cellphone story is hilarious....

Thanks, Sandie.

Wowed!!! You crammed in a lot of good stuff today!! Like the cell phone story.
One day as I was driving home, all the birds on the left side of the road decided to fly over my car and poop en masse. Sounded like rain, and my car was left "in mess!!"

Tons of laughs today. I read all those cute little one-liners out loud to the family so we all had some great laughs.
I've been wanting a Mini, now I have a better reason for getting it, I would finally be able to make music.

Fun statements and so true about aging too.
I like the four food groups. They may not be good for us, but sure seem easy.
It is nice to watch the moon and the stars, instead of trying to reach for them. In India on Saturday nights, we used to put cots in our backyard and lay on them and look at the stars and the moon until almost midnight when our parents would calls us in as Bats would start coming out for our fruits on the trees.

You have given me something to look forward to my old age, some of what you say is very true .
My grandmother moved in with us when I was about 5 she was 70 and lived till 95, she was my favourite person and I enjoyed her company very much but she did get a kick out of people dying she always said well I outlasted that one.
