Fun Friday with a little help from my friends...

“What we see depends mainly on what we look for.”

Sometimes we look for happiness and we can't find it.
Sometimes we're sad.
It happens to me too all the time.
What I have to do is make a choice.
Do I want to feel happy or sad.
Now, not all the time I'll admit - but a lot of the time -
I can find happiness if I directly look for it.
I can do the same with sadness.
Like so many things in our life - it a choice of what we look for.

HALLOWEEN IS COMING!

Find the grey  and  white cat!!   It is there, walking in plain sight.
Thank you Debby.

A woman brought a very limp duck into a veterinary surgeon. As she laid her pet on the table, the vet pulled out his stethoscope and listened to the bird's chest. After a moment or two, the vet shook his head and sadly said, "I'm sorry, your duck, Cuddles, has passed away."
The distressed woman wailed, "Are you sure?" "Yes, I am sure. Your duck is dead," replied the vet.. "How can you be so sure?" she protested. "I mean you haven't done any testing on him or anything. He might just be in a coma or something."
The vet rolled his eyes, turned around and left the room. He returned a few minutes later with a black Labrador Retriever. As the duck's owner looked on in amazement, the dog stood on his hind legs, put his front paws on the examination table and sniffed the duck from top to bottom. He then looked up at the vet with sad eyes and shook his head.
The vet patted the dog on the head and took it out of the room. A few minutes later he returned with a cat. The cat jumped on the table and also delicately sniffed the bird from head to foot. The cat sat back on its haunches, shook its head, meowed softly and strolled out of the room. The vet looked at the woman and said, "I'm sorry, but as I said, this is most definitely, 100% certifiably, a dead duck."
The vet turned to his computer terminal, hit a few keys and produced a bill, which he handed to the woman.. The duck's owner, still in shock, took the bill. "$150!" she cried, "$150 just to tell me my duck is dead!"
The vet shrugged, "I'm sorry. If you had just taken my word for it, the bill would have been $20, but with the Lab Report and the Cat Scan, it's now $150."

Thank you Sharon.

I do agree for the most part that we can find happiness if we look for it. If we can concentrate on the things that make us happy then that goes a long way in lifting us out of sadness :)

Love the duck story and the Charlie Brown quote. Had a problem with finding the grey and white cat and almost gave up. Then I went back--was ready to give up a second time and then he popped into my sight!

Happiness comes from within. Always has and always will.

I have yet to find the grey and white cat in that trash heap.

Have a fabulous day my friend. Big hugs to you and scritches to Disco. :)

You've got some really good ones here. The deer would scare me, I've read where they get scared if they go in a house and then they go nuts trying to get out.

The vet one is too accurate to be funny. ;)

KIDDING (sort of). :)

Have a fun weekend.

You have some great contributions, and I thank you for sharing them with me.
I would love to get a shot like the one of the little bird looking at itself in the mirror. Precious.

I found the cat pretty quick....and then I worried about that being a dangerous place for it to be. :)

Well...the snow and the ice got to me. I am so afraid of falling but there were so many really funny things today on today's post!!!! I think I will try the vampire cupcakes on my `14 yr. old grandkids. I think they will think Grandma is cool if I make those! The duck story is fabulous. Our vets are charging an enormous amount lately. Good example, Miss Chatty!

Wow the winter falling video shots were pretty dangerous.

I had to laugh where the guy is taking snow off and his whole roof falls down. How bad is that.

I am surprised that there was not broken legs falling on the streets. With adults, teens.

Wow a real selections of Winter.

Hi Sandie,
I admit that it has taken me a while to find the cat, but I did find it.
I love the pic of the venison going inside the french doors to smell the flowers. Lovely!
Halloween is coming up!...
Have a happy Halloween with your grandson, family and loved ones!
Does your grandson still play trick or treat in the neighborhood?
My youngest granddaughter (4 years old) can't wait to play the Halloween game of trick or treat.
My grandchildren used to love getting all dressed up in Halloween costumes, and go round the neighborhood asking for candies. My daughter used to do that when she was a little child, and I enjoyed going out with her. I really miss those golden memories of my daughter's childhood.
I wish we could go back in time, and do the things we used to do with so much fun. Time flies!
Have a great weekend, Sandie!
I have just posted a special for October. I hope you visit me.
I call it, "The last straw."
God may bless you all, dear friend.
Warm Hugs,
Starry.

I found your cat, Sandie. He was near the left side about a fourth the way up. At first I though he was the rear end of a gray and white bob-tailed dog.

I love the Lab Report and the Cat Scan, it's now $150 joke. I also love the South, especially in the winter.
