Linda From Ala Carte

From Sheila at Quintessential  Magpie

Nonnie - Randoms Thoughts With Nonnie

Lenore

Debbie at Words on Wheels

My grandson will be picking January 30th.

I may have missed one if you sent it today - but I will add it this Friday.  Keep them coming!

Hey this is totally random, but this is how I work.  When we were in the hospital last week - the nurse told us a story about LIFE SAVER CANDIES -  remember them?  You can't get them now but at Christmas time.  Anyway do you know why there was a hole in the middle?  I never knew this.

In case it was swallowed - there was a hole in the center so you would not choke - you could breathe through it and it would save your life.

I thought that was soooooooooo interesting.

THE LAUGH:

Do dogs get the stomach virus?

Oh no! Hate to hear that you have that nasty tummy bug. It went around my family twice. Is Andy better? And yes, dogs can get it. My beagle did. :( I have a snowman photo to send it, just have to take the picture.

Hi Sandie,
I did not know you were in the Hospital last week.
I am so sorry to hear your news.
I pray you get well soon, dear.
Your post is very interesting as always, Sandie.
I do not play much lately, you know.
However, I still read good things.
I'll be back again, my friend.
Stay well, Sandie dear.
Keep warm!
God bless you, and those you love.
All the Best,

I do remember that about the Life Savers. My brother almost choked to death on one of those round peppermint hard candies when he was about five. After that Mother only bought Life Savers. I didn't know that you could only get them at Christmas! Remember butter rum ones?

Congrats to the winners and the snowmen are all fun! xo Diana

Ann said...

sorry to hear you got that virus too.
All those snowmen are great. There are some very clever ones there.

Debbie said...

I hope you lick that thing quickly! I have some friends who have had the stomach flu this year, and it has been a DOO-ZY!!

I loved the snowmen. I want to do that china one in the biggest way, and the one eating the child or person is hysterical.

Linda O'Connell said...

Hope by now you've bounced back from that virus. Cute snowmen!

I love those cute cookies with the melted snowman on them. That was interesting about the lifesavers. I get my kids a lifesaver story book every year for their Christmas stocking stuffer. It's become a tradition. Nice to know they won't choke anyway. Hope you do feel better. Lots have had the flu around our part of the woods too. I'm thankful I got my flu shot.

o h nooooo on the virus and sorry you have been sick... yes dogs can catch what we have, i once met a german shepherd at the vets office who had MUMPS, he caught them from his boy.

I'd rather have a two week cold than a one or two day stomach virus. Yuck! I hope it is over and you are feeling better.

I love all those snowmen. With all the snow that has hit the US in the past 24 hours, the population of snowmen/women should skyrocket.

Happy for you contest winners.

Hope we can't catch your virus from reading your blog:) Get well soon.

Exactly true about the Lifesavers. It was why my grandfather chose them for a hard candy when he quit smoking so he could share with us grandkids. He always told us that story.

Cute snowmen. I may have one somewhere.

Hope that you are feeling much better and congrats to your winners!

Sharon said...

Hope you're feeling better.

The snowmen were adorable! And I loved learning about the Life Savers. How clever. My favorite flavor is the ButterRum. But my family says it gives me really bad breath. Do I care? Do you need to ask?!

Sorry you have been under the weather. It is bitterly cold here but may warm up by Fri. I liked the snowman with the kid sticking out. Creative people on here.

Dogs can get a cold and they can catch the flu, so it would figure they could get a stomach virus. Hope poor Disco doesn't get it!

I did know that about life savers. Its the same reason that one of the very first solid foots you introduce to babies is cheerios.

Dee said...

It is rough when everyone is sick at the same time....not sure about Disco getting it...hopefully not. It is nice to see simple sequins as one of the earring winners :) All the snowmen are cute...your grandson will have a tough time choosing.

Forgot to ask if my snowman got through to you?

Glad to see you're on the mend, Sandie.

The snowmen are great! Our heat is being doused at the moment by some showers...and that is wonderful! I feel like running around outside in the rain...but I'll save the neighbours from the sight! I don't want to scare them to death! ;)

Sally Wessely said...

I loved the snowmen pics. Some people are just so creative!

I've cleaned up after a few dogs that must have had some sort of a virus. Yuk.
