Tuesday - BEAT THE WINTER BLUES - TWO PAIRS OF EARRING TO BE GIVEN AWAY.

I absolutely love doing things for my friends - Sandy is a blog friend of mine.  She's been making jewelry for a long time and has just re-opened her jewelry shop on Etsy.  So this is a GRAND REOPENING!

She asked if I'd like to do a giveaway and of course I said yes!

Her blog's name is:  Sandy-faithhopeandlove

Her Esty Shop can be found on her blog here:

Her Esty's Shop is on Pinterest and her Pinterest address is here:

These are the two pairs of earrings she wanted to offer:

This is called the Elinor.

This is  called the Iona.

Okay - how do you win?  Easy peasy.

Just go her Etsy site, look at the earrings, come back here and comment which were your favorite earrings.  You'll be automatically entered in the drawing next Tuesday - the 21st of January.

I'll have the grandson pick two names out of the group and we'll let you know!

That's it!  Oh - and once notified you'll have to send Sandy your address so she can mail them to you!

Some new hints I haven't seen before.

Great tips! I was blown away by all her jewelry, but I like the Elinor ones because I have a top that would go perfectly with them.

Great tips, I liked the pizza and the sponge ones a lot. Disco, are you OK, you look like you're up to something.
My ears are too old for ear rings now. But all the best for success for your friend, they are very pretty.

Hi Chatty! Oooh, I love give-aways...and I love earrings! It's hard for me to choose which ones I liked best, but I'll go with: "ELIZABETH Swarovski Pear Shape Bordeaux Pearls With Copper Beads"
And thanks for all those great tips! Thanks for always being an amazing blogger and friend!

Nice of you to help your friend. I like the Elinor best.
Great tips today. I wonder how the water in the microwave with the pizza works but I will give it a try.

Oh ha good pieces of advice. Like this entry. I will remember the reheating ones, I do that often. the frozen sponge is very good.

Nice to Disco to jump in for a quick Hello....
Take care.....

All great tips today Sandie!! Thank you!

All so pretty but I think my favorite is Faith.

Hi Disco and bye disco..
the earrings are pretty, but i don't wear earrings. it is raining and bob has nothing to do so i will get him to put one of the pool noodles on his work bench because i keep hitting it with my door

Ms. A said...

Good idea using a frozen sponge in the plastic bag for an ice pack!

Sandee said...

I love all the great tips and well there is Disco too. Way cool.

Have a fabulous day honey. Scritches to Disco. ♥♥♥

Those are good tips. I knew a few but the trash can one will solve a problem that bugs me each week.

Your friend's jewelry is lovely. I'm not entering because I have a ton and make some of my own too, but please pass on my compliment.

Susan said...

Hi Sandie...Some very helpful tips, there!

I think the earrings are lovely. I'm going to say Nicole was among my faves. Gorgeous color. But the pink ones that are part of the giveaway are gorgeous, too. Well, can I cross my fingers GS picks my name? hee hee

Hope you have a super day today. Susan

Nice of you to help your friend sell her jewelry.. It is pretty. But--don't add me to the list please since I don't participate in Giveaways anymore. Thanks.

Great tips... I had heard some of them but not all. I knew the one about pizza reheating.

I'm a little shaken. We had a near-miss-head-on car accident yesterday afternoon when a car was coming straight toward us in OUR lane. We swerved and went into the ditch. Luckily, we are fine and no damage to the car --other than being dirty. BUT--we were just lucky that the ditch wasn't steep…. SCARY!

Hugs,
Betsy

I like the Adelaide earrings at her Etsy Shop.

Good tips. Love the magnet tip and also the half pool noodle.

Disco is so precious! Love the hints! I need to freeze a couple of sponges...that's a great idea!

I'm mostly known as 'MA' said...

I will have to try that tip with holes in the wastebasket to help putting in the garbage bags sounds lie a reasonable theory. I hope you have a terrific Tuesday!

Dear Sandie, Great helpful hints.

I went to the site and like the Elinor.

Does make you think!! God gets 10% and the waitress 15%?

Have a great day. Blessings and hugs, Cathrine xo

Disco is a cutie. :) I like the tips. My second oldest saw me scrubbing away at a microwave blow up and told me to put a wet dishcloth in and microwave for a few. I did, and it all wiped right up. Smart kid, that one. ;)

Jo-Anne's Ramblings said...

I like the sponge idea, I will have to remember that one.

jp@A Green Ridge said...

Scrolling through her earrings, I decided I like the "Nora" because my glasses are "purple" and they'd be a cute match! Count me in to win!..:)JP

Carol said...

Disco is such a cutie ... I just want to hug him and scratch him behind his ears. Your friend has lovely jewelry but I don't want to enter as I don't wear jewelry often. I did look at her site though. Now that 10% vs 15% is food for thought!!!

Barbara said...

I love the Elinor ones, so pretty, enter me in the contest too, thanks Barbara

Ann said...

I don't wear much jewelry but I do wear earrings. I think my favorites would be Brooke.
Love that idea about the frozen sponge for a dripless cold pack

Dee said...

Great tips...love the frozen sponge idea and I will definitely try the glass of water with the pizza. All the earrings were nice and priced very reasonably. My favorite was the Sohie Rhodnite gemstone.

Cheryl @ TFD said...

Great tips and I didn't know the one about the glass of water with the pizza, I'll have to remember that. The earrings are beautiful. I love earrings and have many so I'll sit this one out. I'll check out her site when I have a bit more time. Have a good evening!

I liked the tips you had here, Sandie. I will have to remember that about the pizza in the microwave one next time we have leftover pizza. Don't out me in the raffle for the earrings, I don't wear much jewelry, but your friend does great work!

Hello Miss Chatty, I had no idea she had so many pairs of earrings. My, they are very pretty. I really love the Elinor but if I won the other pair it would be wonderful for me, too.

Thank you for all the suggestions! I must tell my son-in-law about the noodle idea.

Have a good week. Hope all is well at your house.

GREAT tips. Like the sponge one the best. I think the Elinor earrings are prettiest.

Theresa Mahoney said...

What a fun giveaway! Too bad I don't have ears that are pierced or I would have entered!

And these are GREAT ideas! Though I am horrible at losing chapstick tubes, so with that method I wouldn't have to worry about it getting stolen. I'd lose it way before then myself lol.

Rob-bear said...

I'm just not sure; a Bear wearing ear rings like that could get caught on something in the bush. I think I'll pass on them, thanks.

Blessings and Bear hugs, anyhow.

Good morning, Sandie! What great tips - and an earring giveaway, too! Shandy has some beautiful earrings on her Etsy site; I especially like the Lauren style. Of the two pair above, the Iona is the pair that says "me". They're all lovely. Thanks to both of you for sharing.

CalamityJr said...

Oops - typed to fast. I meant to type "Sandy". Do you even know a Shandy? Silly me!

Debbie said...

OK, I'm heading to that jewelry site in a minute, but first I wanted to shout out your tips. I don't think there was a single, solitary one that I had heard before. Those are great, and I am going to try them.

I'm trying that stud finder first.
Think I'll go upstairs with a magnet and see if I can find a stud in the office.

Grin.

Debbie said...

I'm back. She's good! I loved so many of them. I think my favorites were the Yvonne topaz ones.

Vee said...

Wow, she has been busy! I like them all really, but the closed earring back stays on best for me. Bethany would be a great choice. That hole in the middle thing works great for hamburgers on the grill or in the pan, too!

Sandy said...

Hi Everyone! Just wanted to come by and say "thanks" for all of your kind compliments on my jewelry. Glad so many of you like it. It will be exciting to see who wins next Tuesday. The Nicole and the Jillian were my favorites of all.
Your tips are great. Gonna try the circle in the middle for heating and the sponge in Baggie for ice pack.

And I love the Elinor. By the time I scroll to the bottom to comment, I have forgotten all the stuff I read!!!!!!

renae said...

Oh Sandie, I love the earrings that are, wait, I have to get more info, huh? I'll be back.

But the magnet, chapstick and holes in the side of the garbage can are so smart.

Oh what a pretty giveaway! :D

Best of luck to Sandy. Her work is beautiful. I particularly fancied the AMY Acrylic Flowers they remind me of Peter Pan and Neverland :D

I love those tips...especially the magnet and sponge...those will definitely come in handy.

Oh and Hi Disco!!! ^_^ You have such a inspirational and fun blog. You never fail to make me smile. Love you too.

Some good tips there. I wonder if the supermarket car parks could use their noodles and use those noodles in their car parks. They'd probably mix it all up and use the wrong noodles...they've packets of them by the hundreds on their shelves....hmmmmm....

Lisa @ Two Bears Farm said...

Beautiful. I love the Elinor ones because they look so romantic. Perfect for Valentine's coming up.

Sue said...

Love the microwave ideas....the pizza crust with the glass of water and making a circle in heating things up...thanks for posting those!

I looked at all her earrings and love the two you showed but also love Bethany and Julian. She is so talented. I loved all your tips that you shared too. I'll be back to visit.

It is pretty amazing that the evangelists haven't hit on a cost of living increase for the churches. Surely there is some way to interpret scripture that automatically increases tithing above 10%.
