EVEN JESUS HAD COMPASSION ON THE PEOPLE......DO YOU KNOW I HAD 3 PEOPLE WRITE AND TELL ME ALL ABOUT THEIR VACATION AND 2 ABOUT THEIR NEW FURNITURE AND "NEVER" ONCE MENTIONED AMY'S DEATH AND HOW SORRY THEY WERE...VERY ODD
WHAT IS YOUR DEFINITION OF TOXIC
HUGS
SIMPLY DEBBIESimply Debbiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14720719897171914798noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34486160.post-90668591172808027522010-04-18T02:39:43.855-04:002010-04-18T02:39:43.855-04:00I believe that worry is the opposite of faith and ...I believe that worry is the opposite of faith and therefore hinders God's work in our life instead of allowing Him to work for/with us. He wants us to have faith and trust that He really DOES love us and is working in our best interests no matter what we are seeing right now. At least that's the way I believe. I think it's just about what you said, and

I know what you mean about "toxic" people because there are so many of them around. This so exactly describes something two of my friends just wrote to ask me to pray about in their lives.

I recently saw Olivia Hussey in a movie on TBN where she played Mary, the mother of Jesus. I also remember her as Juliet. I didn't know that she was married to Dino.ocmisthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14573017187040669068noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34486160.post-1139493534458416442010-04-18T01:52:00.878-04:002010-04-18T01:52:00.878-04:00sometimes we need a change of scenry to get away f...sometimes we need a change of scenry to get away from toxic people.
it is up to us
xoxoxo
tweedlesTweedles -- that's mehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01349728497621875670noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34486160.post-4199767070679803822010-04-17T23:11:38.247-04:002010-04-17T23:11:38.247-04:00Sandie, this is one of my favorite topics of thoug...Sandie, this is one of my favorite topics of thought, discussion or practice! I believe that we are to learn to discipline our minds to focus on a more postitive, grateful attitude just like you are talking about... the trick for me is the toxic drains! LOL! At this old age, my favorite thing is just to avoid them (though not always possible). =)Tannahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05484104973009411729noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34486160.post-72887279191076496782010-04-17T18:15:29.819-04:002010-04-17T18:15:29.819-04:00interesting thoughts to think about today, Sandie....interesting thoughts to think about today, Sandie. I think God wants us to trust and be content in him and not to worry or be anxious. but yet he does catch and store all of our tears, so he does expect us to cry and not always be positive. for the most part I do try to have somewhat of a positive attitude about most things in my life (boy is that vague or what?)

enjoy the weekend :)

bettybettyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06323135450742337670noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34486160.post-43438660159060204662010-04-17T17:21:46.014-04:002010-04-17T17:21:46.014-04:00Hmmmmm......!Hmmmmm......!ClassyChassyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12645241442596037812noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34486160.post-24140637308646943182010-04-17T16:57:28.841-04:002010-04-17T16:57:28.841-04:00Sandie, I do believe God expects us to make the ch...Sandie, I do believe God expects us to make the choice about being positive even in the midst of terrible negativity. We most often don't have a choice of the things that go on around us. But we do have a choice of how we respond to it. Knowing God is in control of all things and He cares for us, we can stay positive. The Bible says not to overcome evil with evil, but to overcome evil with good. So let's overcome negativity with positivity. Ol' Abe Lincoln said it best with "We are about as happy as we make up our minds to be."

I read another quote on Gary Foreman's The Dollar Stretcher website that I subscribe to. It was a succinct quote about change: "If you don't like where you are, change it. You're not a tree." (By Jim Rohn). Ha! I got a kick out of that one. We DO need to change our mindset if it's facefirst to the ground. We're not trees! Ha! Hope your days is good, Sandie. I fight it daily....I want to let the true me shine and be the happy person I am. Some situations are unfortunately not avoidable so I live with them and try to just keep positive.Linda @ A La Cartehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16356471099319932835noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34486160.post-3520592719210777362010-04-17T09:07:07.752-04:002010-04-17T09:07:07.752-04:00I so heartily agree! The task will end but your negative emotions are still roiling.

I have to admit that I complain with tongue in cheek. I have a sarcastic streak that some may read and not appreciate or not understand that I am poking fun at the situation and myself. For instance, when I complained about the appliances rebelling, it didn't really have me down or keep me down after the initial irritation of discovering their treachery. (wink, wink)

I've had big things in my life that have been dark and extremely sad. This small stuff? Pfffttt!

There are toxic people on and off my computer that I avoid. I help if I can, even if it is just listening when it is something serious. The problem is that the toxic people are like the boy who cried wolf. Everything is THE WORST thing in their world and it is too draining for most of us around them.Knittyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10194307677813885580noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34486160.post-83088605084738404402010-04-17T08:46:13.672-04:002010-04-17T08:46:13.672-04:00I love that Bob Marley quote and gee whiz, I haven...I love that Bob Marley quote and gee whiz, I haven't thought about Olivia Hussey SINCE Romeo and Juliet (that was 7th grade for me)!Jojohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09843762553010099404noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34486160.post-85183918073410824482010-04-17T08:45:56.577-04:002010-04-17T08:45:56.577-04:00Choices—we all have them, we all have to make them...Choices—we all have them, we all have to make them, and we all have to live with the consequences of the ones we make. Hence, the important question for us all is: What will those choices be, and how can we know how to make the right ones?
This is a quote a friend sent me and when I get down and wonder what to do I always remember this, no matter what choice we make we must pay the consequences, so try to make the right one...
Hope you have a great week end and always stay positive.
MollyMarjorie (Molly) Smithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08876434453158175693noreply@blogger.com
