I never heard of Snow Patrol; I'll have to check them out. I know there is a lot to be said about music, it does bring out emotions in people ranging from happiness to sadness to pain to comfort, etc based on the type of music and the words sung. It can make us angry or it can soothe us. It can calm us or agitate us. Again a wide variety of emotions and a wide variety of types of music to hear and to play.

Lately I've just been enjoying Christian praise music :)

hoping you have a nice Saturday :)

bettybettyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06323135450742337670noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34486160.post-30245563464168924522010-05-01T17:22:52.062-04:002010-05-01T17:22:52.062-04:00Thanks Sandie for joining in on the first 'Cou...Thanks Sandie for joining in on the first 'Count Your Blessings'. I don't care for music in the car unless it is a road trip. I rarely listen to music while up and about unless it is Christmas time. As far as spiritual no one can do for me what Jimmy Swaggart does with his beautiful voice. And in the other genres I have soo many favies. As a result I won a $500 scholarship! In today's terms not much but at the time one semester cost me $400 so it was a big deal to me.

Its so hard to imagine life without music. I went to Berry College and while there, two of the faculty members who had been at the school since its earliest days and married at the House of Dreams shared something that I've cherished since. When these two decided to marry, they went to Miss Berry to ask her if they could have their wedding at her cottage at the top of Lavender Mountain. These two were both very poor so there was no money for all the trimmings that brides spend thousands on these days. It was so sweet when they said they decided to have the wedding outside so that nature provided the music. To them, nothing was more beautiful that the sounds given to us from above. In spite of our busy lives I try to find stillness so that I can listen to the music God had given us.Jojohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09843762553010099404noreply@blogger.com
