The opposite of love is not hate, It’s indifference. Ellie Wiesel

INQUIRING MINDS WANT TO KNOW -
WHAT WORD OR WORDS COMES TO YOUR MIND WHEN YOU READ THESE WORDS?
 Mary Tyler Moore
Naive
Dudley Do Right.
 Pollyanna.

Disco's Corner:

He is helping me (hoping I would give him something) look in the refrigerator. ☺

Waiting in the car together for 'his' mom to do her errand.

Okay he worked hard enough for one day - he needs a nap.

Laughter:

I am in the OFC.

Something to think about:

The opposite of love is not hate, It’s indifference.  Ellie Wiesel

What do you think?

LOVE, CHATTY

  1. The airport codes crack me up. I read the Elie Wiesel book when my son had to read it in school and it was the saddest book I’ve ever read, but I don’t agree with his statement. Actively hating someone is worse than not caring.

  2. The airport codes are so fitting for this year, cracked me up! Love all the photos and funnies. Happy September! :)

  3. BDM is where I spend all my time. I can't stand the living room because the TV talks 24/7 or at least when we're awake. Disco is looking absolutely adorable as always

  4. I'm in the KIT a lot! Disco is so funny by the fridge. Winslow does the same thing! That is an interesting quote from Elie Wiesel. I have to somewhat agree with it. Hate is bad but at least it is an emotion that someone has feelings about something. Indifference means to me like people couldn't be bothered, etc. Mary Tyler Moore and PollyAnna made me think of optimistic and full of hope and good cheer!

  5. I see Disco's working hard as always!
I agree with the Elie Wiesel quote. People often "hate" something about someone they also love. But indifference? meh.

  6. I'm in the OFC today here at home at my desk. I do like and agree with the quote. It can be indifference. U'm hoping my destination places look better in 2021. We can all make a difference if we stick together.

  7. Hi Sandie - Disco just keeps an eye on things ... he doesn't want to lose out. I'm in the OFC a lot ... but it's part of my LVG ... so does double duty. Descriptions defy me at the moment ... pass on that question! Take care - Hilary

  9. Great post! That quote is spot-on. Granted, I couldn't/wouldn't always admit it, but now ... yesssss.
Mary Tyler Moore and friends? If I'm being honest, the first thing I thought of is, "Unrealistic."

  10. Because of the very hot summer and often too hot to go outside, I have spent a lot of time in my LVG sitting on my ASS, or in the KIT staring into the FRG.

Mary Tyler Moore - Good TV
    Naive - No longer
Dudley Do Right - Silly (nothing wrong with that)
    Pollyanna - Christmas, hopeful

The opposite of love is not hate, It’s indifference. Probably pretty good statement, I had never looked at it that way.

  23. I LOVE the Mary Tyler Moore show, and often watch the re-runs. When I think of the show, I just think of good clean tv and a wonderful positive woman. I'll always remember the music at the beginning of the show and the words, "you're gonna make it after all." She had a lovely face, and was a great actress. Disco cracks me up. He has such a funny personality.

I hope you have happy September days, Sandie.

  24. What came to my mind was...in those days life was so much easier and there wasn't so much hate in the world! I loved the one about the support dog...he looks like I feel! This Sunday I will have attended 4 funerals in less than 4 weeks and I feel about like he looks:( I sure would like to think 2021 is going to be a whole lot better than 2020, but I have my doubts...at least for the first few months. And I can't help but wonder if we will ever go back to "the way it was." Wow...am I a downer or what???? Praying for better days ahead. Thank you for posts that always make me either smile or laugh...many times out loud:)

  27. Disco makes me wish for another dog. I would hate for it to outlive me as I should be responsible for it.
Mary Tyler Moore - lady comic actor
Naive - Mrs. Jim when we first married
    Dudley Do Right -
Pollyanna - a very stuffy, very correct older but not too old lady
Which is most harsh, hate or detest?
    Nicest feelings?
Nothing can be deeper than love. LOVE shows itself several environments, romantic love, brotherly love, Godly love ...
