MAY 26, 2026 LOOKING BACK

MOTHER'S DAY

MY GRANDDAUGHTER IN LAW'S FIRST MOTHER'S DAY!

She is as beautiful outside as she is inside!

'M' EVEN SIGNED HER MOMMIES CARD 💚.

ANNIVERSARY - DINNER AT THE WOODBRIDGE INN IN JASPER GEORGIA.

FRIED GREEN TOMOTOES.

I HAD MY EYEBROWS DONE AT A NEW PLACE AND THEY SENT ME HOME LIKE THIS.
THANK GOODNESS WHEN I GOT HOME MOST OF IT WASHED OFF!

GOT TO BABYSIT. 💚

BEFORE EDNA PASSED AWAY THE CHOIR FROM HER CHURCH CAME AND SANG - SHE DID NOT GET TO COME DOWN, BUT THEY WENT TO HER ROOM AND SANG TO HER PERSONALLY. 💚

SLEEP APNEA MACHINE IS NEW!

LOL

LAST, BUT NOT LEAST - THE POKEMON QUEEN!

If I told you they had machines in our Kroger's to buy Pokémon Cards, would you believe me?

And if I told you they were only sold at certain times and you never ever knew when - you just had to be at the right place at the right time - would you believe that?

Would you believe that there were grown men there and this grown-up grandma too, to buy cards?

At one Kroger there were three of us in line and there was no loitering, so we had to walk around Kroger and then come back to the machine!

Well, it's all true - they are VERY hard to get.  BUT my daughter and I were determined to try to get some.

My daughter would drop me off at the door and I would run into the store and see if the machine had any cards loaded to buy.  We would stand for 20 to 30 minutes to buy these cards.

We were able to buy some sets of of cards!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  YIPPEE.  Daughter and I did it.

You know why we do all of this?

  1. Cute pics and glad you had a nice day. I'm also glad you got your eye brows fixed up... Good grief!
I have the same CPAP - not fun, is it?

  2. The Pokemon cards were a big thing back when my son was little. wow, can't believe you got a few from the machine! Those fried green tomatoes look good! I've always wanted to try them. Shaye got a lot of Mother's Day presents. And how sweet to have Mackenzie's little signature on the card. I'm glad Edna got to hear the choir sing before she passed, and it was good of them to go to her room and sing for her. What will you do with the Pokemon cards that you got? You have a cute new hair cut. And lastly, I LOVE your flamingo shirt! I wish you good remaining days of May, Sandie. Can't believe June is already here!

  3. At least you have eyebrows they can work with. Being a fair blonde my eyebrows are very blonde - so I did what my mom did, use a eyebrow pencil. I'm mesmerized by good eyebrows. I don't like tattooed eyebrows but I'm always looking for better eyebrows! 🙄

  4. May was certainly an eventful month for you, Sandie! Loved seeing all the happy photos of your family, too. With my kids coming, June is going to be my big eventful month. Blessings!

  6. Looks like you had a good May! Fun photos!
But what's up with the eyebrow place? What'd they use, a Sharpie?

  7. Congrats on the pokemon cards! Who would have thought! You had such great month! Now we'll see what June brings!

  8. A great May update... It is difficult to go to a new place for facial work..you never know what you might walk out like.. But..I think your brows look nice. It's so sweet to see a mom and especially sweet on her first Mother's day... Pokemon Cards? I don't know anything about them. glad you were able to get what you wanted even if you did have to stand in line. Dinner looked sweet for you guys. How great it is to enjoy dinner out... no dishes to clean...

  10. Oy, those eyebrows. They must be the worst beauticians ever!! I love your eyebrows just the way they are. Did you really get a C-Pap machine?

  11. P.S. No fireworks on Memorial Day.

  12. What a busy and happy month you had! Except for your friend passing, but how nice the choir was able to sing for her. I can imagine that meant a lot to her, and to the choir members as well. Re: eyebrows...wow! They certainly did a neat job, but I agree, they are a bit much! I used a pencil on mine, nothing too dramatic these days. Love the card signed by the baby! That's so precious. And lucky you to be able to babysit for her! I know you loved that! Pokemon cards? My kids were already grown before those came out, so I never had to deal with them, so I really don't know anything about them. The last crazy kind of cards our youngest son liked were "Garbage Pail Kids", which were gross. I think he still has a little old lunch box full of them. Maybe they're worth something now. LOL. Oh, I tried a C-pap machine for a while and just couldn't handle it. I am claustrophobic, plus it gave me a bad case of laryngytis, so I just quit. I know I need it, however. I'd like to have that electronic device installed instead so I don't have to deal with it on my face. Your fried green tomatoes look good! Happy Anniversary, and happy month of May!! This was fun.

  13. Sweet post. I hope she enjoyed her first Mother's Day. Your anniversary dinner looks yummy. I've never had my eyebrows done. Yes, they did make your kinda dark. I guess that's in now. So glad you got to babysit. How nice that they got to sing to Edna before she passed away. Dylan is getting on of those machines. That picture of you is something else. I'm not even sure what Poke'mon is. What do you do with the cards??

  14. Lovely photos, dear friend. I am glad you got a sleep apnea machine.
    Yikes on the eyebrows.
    You meant choir, right? LOL
Great post, thank you so much for sharing. 😊

  15. May was certainly eventful indeed. Glad the eyebrows toned down after washing your face... they were extremely unnatural prior to that. Are you trialing the apnea machine?

  16. That sleep apnea mask doesn't look like it would be very easy to sleep with.
I would believe all of that about the pokemon cards.

  17. Loved seeing all the photos, especially the ones of you in them. Fun to browse through and read. Those eyebrows remind me of a time when I had my face made up. I didn't recognize myself, was with my sister and she actually laughed. I guess we laughed together as I scrubbed everything off when I got home. Beautiful baby, beautiful momma's baby. Have a great week. I am slow catching up as usual.

  21. Lovely photos, Sandie.
Looks like you had such a full and happy May!
I’m glad the eyebrow mishap washed off when you got home.
The Pokémon card story made me smile-- they were a huge deal when my kids were younger.
Loved seeing all the family moments, especially that sweet first Mother’s Day card. 💚

  23. Oh lucky you, you got to babysit! Can't wait to do the same with my grandbaby! Hey! I really love that little guy wanting to save the world but really making it weirder and kinder. That's me! I saw those machines installed at my local Kroger. (Right next to the Ladies room,so a regular stop for me, LOL.) Had to buy a box for our son he is huge Pokémon guy! Your eyebrows are so pretty! Wonder why they made them so dark?

  27. There's a new type of apnea treatment called AD109...it's a pill you take nightly. Reduces symptoms by 44%...If yours is mild, or not... you might be a candidate.

I don't know about pokemon cards, have not heard of them. doc wanted Bob to get the apnea thing you have on, he refused and I was glad, I would not be able to sleep with the noise. that pill that was mentioned sounds good to me. I know DIL enjoyed her first Mothers day with that beautiful baby girl
