We are an army family and this is the first move where I have been referred to as, "one of the older ladies." Yikes. Anyways...I don't think that I have hit the times of idleness yet...I can't wait for those. Love your blog. So balance starts with knowing what your values are in life and then prioritizing the goals you then develop to complement those values. It's also about learning how to say "no" tactfully, but soundly. Once you know what your personal priorities are and attend to them, you feel less out of balance. You may discover that you're spending a lot of time doing non-value-added tasks once you have your values and prioritized goals right in front of you. It helps to write your values down and then under each value your goals. Try it!A Palmerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00767185930291014355noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34486160.post-81338686436707212182009-11-14T17:04:45.530-05:002009-11-14T17:04:45.530-05:00hi chatty. Have been enjoying the humor and philosophy both on all your latest posts; just nothing original to say in a comment, but Thanks!

Could you let me know how to find your archived posts? I can't seem to locate a link. I was trying to tell someone about your monster mash post at Halloween time and it made me want to look at it again.

TIASallie (FullTime-Life)http://www.travelingrainvilles.typepad.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34486160.post-3313604797957698612009-11-14T10:00:21.618-05:002009-11-14T10:00:21.618-05:00It's funny you should pose this question. Have you had a nanny cam installed in my house?? :p) Seriously, just a couple of months ago, I was feeling at the strained edge of the idle/lonely curve. Working from home. Now, employed full time (for a while)I wonder where I disappeared to? Is there a balance? In these times, I'm not sure. I think we're all peddling as fast as we can. But it's good to remember life exists outside of work. And as Depak says, "There is only this moment." :p)Barbarahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14602177425483410112noreply@blogger.com
