I hope some day my kids say that about me!

ODP,

I know what you mean. I agree. We don't all have to be sucessful like the world defines success.

Guess I didin't tell the story exactly right. The homeless man was extremely bitter about his life and what had happened to him. He let his life make him bitter, while his brother who had the same circumstances chose to have a more positive outlook.

I was talking more the condition of the soul.

CDM,
Hugs to you too.

That deleted post was mine - I had to re-do it.Chatty Cronehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02232040517217024681noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34486160.post-28825628995445778562009-04-03T09:32:00.000-04:002009-04-03T09:32:00.000-04:00This comment has been removed by the author.Chatty Cronehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02232040517217024681noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34486160.post-66100670675615715212009-04-02T11:29:00.000-04:002009-04-02T11:29:00.000-04:00Now Chatty, here's where we differ. Being a "success" as defined by society is meaningless to me. The drunk may well be living his life closer to his true path. I can't judge either man.Olde Dame Penniwighttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11871888334179316997noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34486160.post-73205353094528839312009-04-02T09:54:00.000-04:002009-04-02T09:54:00.000-04:00Very good, thoughtful post today.Food for thought ...Very good, thoughtful post today.
Food for thought for sure.
Hugs.^..^Corgidogmamahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06087352436997512186noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34486160.post-48296881729912513672009-04-02T09:38:00.000-04:002009-04-02T09:38:00.000-04:00Great posting here! Their mothers died when they were infants, and while mom was raised by a step mom who disliked her, dad was raised by strangers who took him in for extra cash. Depression era, of course. They both didn't learn good parenting skills from example. They learned it because they wanted us kids to have what they did not have. They could have become a product of their raising, but they chose to be BETTER! Thanks for the great words today!ClassyChassyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12645241442596037812noreply@blogger.com
