Cottage Garden

Your mind is a garden - your thoughts are the seeds - you can GROW FLOWERS - or you can GROW WEEDS!

DANCING IN THE RAIN.
Who is going to watch DANCE WITH THE STARS - September 16!
I AM!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not a gardener (or a dancer).  But I appreciate the beauty of a garden and the nature that is out there.  I see God in it.  No one can make the things that are out in nature, but God.  And it is not just in nature.
There is so much beauty all around us - all we have to do is look and appreciate it.
Think about God and it's so easy to be grateful!

  1. I do love gardens and I work really hard in our back yard to have plenty of blooms for the summer. Moving them to the greenhouse is a different story. This is a big job! The stairway of potted plants is so neat and then the huge cactus.. So much beauty all around the world that the gardens bring us. I'm not a dancer either. I don't think we have watched dancing with the stars. I might need to give it a try. Hope you enjoy this first week of September...the temps were really nice outside around here this morning..

  4. So true, what we plant is what we sow. Even if some flowers are weeds, they are still beautiful. Nature never fails to amaze me. Great post today! Love your pictures too!

  11. Oh, your post spoke to me today, as I love nature. I actually have to visit it often, as it grounds me and brings me peace. The Agave Americana is something else! Have never seen anything like it. I love the nature quote, and have used it before. I used to watch 'Dancing with the Stars," but not so much anymore. I think they are such talented and amazing dancers. It won't be long until the little one comes into the world.....and your heart will be glad.

Happy September Sandie! It's such a pleasant month. : )

  13. You found some wonderful photos! I especially love the one with the steps, so creatively beautiful. I used to love Dancing. But nowadays they never have anyone on that I know! This year I know Steve Irwin's son, don't know who the rest are yet.

  22. Ah Sandie what a lovely post...great quote regarding our thoughts and growing flowers or weeds...how true. I am sure you are getting more excited as your first great grandchild gets ready to arrive. That is amazing about the Agave plant that takes 7 years to grow and blooms only 7 short days. Thank you for all the pictures of those lovely flowers. Have a blessed day sweet friend. Hugs!

  26. Your words reminded me that God’s creation is indeed a living testament to His care and creativity, and that even small moments like noticing a garden or a rare bloomcan nurture our spirit in unexpected ways. Your reminder to look closely and be grateful is both gentle and practical, something we all need in our busy lives. I would be glad if you took a moment to read my latest posts as well.
