Once again I can't get the video on my Blog s if you go to this site you will see a three minute Blog about the Highly Sensitive Person - I think it is an adult with SPD - sensory perception disorder.
The second web site - if anyone wants to check it out - lists questions or a test to see if you are a highly sensitive person.

My little guy is in trouble at school again - for self control. He wants so bad to be in self control and he just can't. My daughter is thinking medicine, but personally I don't want him on medicine. We go to his Developmental Ped later on this month.
I'm sure I am a Highly Sensitive Person. And yes, while I have struggled (and I am not perfect), but I am a solid person. I think he can make it too.
So my daughter and I don't see things eye to eye right now. That's okay too. The ultimate responsibility is hers not mine. (I keep telling myself).
Now I am venting here - I consider myself smart. I was not pushed the way they push kids now-a-days for these da-- (excuse my French) test. The kids can't talk in class, they have to be quiet when they eat, the recess is short - and I ask you - are the test scores rising here in Georgia (and I love Georgia), but they are not.
Do you think - just for a minute - that maybe 'playing' and 'moving' are important in the learning equation?
I know he has to 'learn' self control - but if they would let him move and get his wiggles out - maybe he could control himself.
Venting,
Chatty

The best thing a child can have????
A Grandma.
Love cures all things and you are doing a great job. He is going to make it...be at peace.
Thank you so much - you don't know how I needed that today. I do love him lots. You're right - be at peace - sounds right!
Sometimes I need reminding!
Changes is right - a Grandma's love.
i think when a child is not paying attention to his studies in the class then he is not satisfied with what he is being taught. It can be the faulty way. A teacher is in reality a friend, philosopher and a guide.
All work and no play makes jack a dull boy.
Thank you JeanMac too - I guess in the end I really do believe love will win in life - I really do - sometimes it's hard to remember.
Harneet Singh - You know I do agree it is both my grandson and the teacher. I think she has made some assumptions about him because it is hard for him to hold still (ADHD) and probably wants him on meds, but surely - the teacher can think up some strategies before it comes to that! She has her'gifted' group and her not so 'gifted' group. I think 'she' has him pegged and put into a hole already. Some kids are smart - you just have to find 'their' way.
