Okay, Sandie. Now you did it. Just watched the video, before church. Tears are streaming down my face and my eye make-up is all smudged. But it was worth it to see the inspiration of that athlete.
And of course, his father, like our Heavenly Father, was there to help in his moment of difficulty.
Thank you, dear Sandie, and may your Sunday be blessed. Susan
I'll come back and watch the video later; on my way out the door in a few minutes to church; but I do agree, God gives us so much more than we deserve, he blesses us in each and every aspect of our lives!! enjoy the day!
How blessed I am to have a heavenly Father who holds me up through all of life's many struggles, and who will help me get to the finish line of my race.
An amazing video, and symbolic of how our Father picks us up!!!! It also doesn't hurt to hear Josh Grobin singing in the background, I am a Grobanite!!!
Sandie, This video so touched my heart. It was one year ago today that I broke through security to get to my son who finished a 2 mile race fighting with everything he had and collapsing at the finish line. So this really hit home. I know for a fact unseen hands helped drag his body to that finish line. Since that day after many tests discovered he has a mitichondrial disorder, which makes his passion for running much harder. Yesterday I sat in the exact same stands very nervous watching him run the exact same race only with an amazing finish! He didn't win, but came in 11th with a new personal record by 14 seconds, but finished so strong! God doess bless us so much and I'm so thankful for that knowledge. Thanks for the amazing reminder and good cry!!
Thanks for stopping by my blog. I look forward to getting to know you. As a former school teacher, homeschooling was the last thing I ever planned on doing. God has a sense of humor...I love your video today! We are going to fall down in life but getting back up and finishing the race speaks to our character and dependence upon Christ. Thanks so much for sharing!
Thanks so much for visiting my blog. NO the frog floating is not my pic I found it via the net. Please stop back ~ If you check it out now you will see what I was like. LOL 'hugs from afar'
An elderly friend of mine who died at age 99 often told of his 'vision.'
He fell in the bathroom one evening when he was sick. When he regained his senses he saw in big bold letters all around the top of the room this message: N E V E R .. G I V E .. U P.
"You will go to sleep faster if you read a book first." I have tested this and found that I go to sleep faster watching TV.
I go to sleep around the same time when I am praying and seem to sleep much better. ..
