Fear of Joy

I know some people that are afraid of being joyful. Personally, I think it's that they're afraid they'll get out of hand and that they will lose their self control. Plus someones joylessness can control an other's joy if you're not careful. It's hard.

These people haven't experienced real joy, they can't unless they give themselves up..

The joy that comes from doing something Godly.
The joy that comes from doing something beautiful with all your heart.
The joy of letting go and being happy in the mist of sorrow.
The joy of living.
The joy of soaring.
The joy of feeling - good and bad.
The joy of laughter.
The joy of breathing deep.
The joy of watching a little one sleep.
The joy of holding hands.
The joy of uncontrol.
The joy of letting anger go.

Why do people want to be angry and carry bitterness around. Why?

The fact is, there is nothing that will lift you higher than true joy.

Where there is that joy, God can come in.

Where there is that joy, there are no pits to fall into, and all obstacles evaporate into thin air.

Open my eyes that I may see...close my eyes to others who refuse to see.

Let me let go of them. Let them not hurt me.

Prayerfully,
Chatty
